Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Hi there, I'm on Monterey 12.0.1.
My mac is not finding system update. Is there a way to force it?
I just updated to newest OpenCore attached to this thread.

Make sure config.plist > Misc > Security > SecureBootModel is set to "Default".

As delivery of my Mac Studio gets closer, I have given away my Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build to a friend.

You Sir, are very generous! It has been a well-sorted, reliable PC.

The end of an era! I have to thank you for your EFI pastrychef! I was having trouble setting up my Z390 Gaming X until I decided to try yours ("Heck they are both 'Gigabyte Z390 Gaming' ... what could possibly go wrong?"). From there, it was a tiny bit of tweaking and my rig has been rock solid since. Thank you for all your help and advice.

I very recently changed jobs and I got to select my company issued laptop. I chose an M1 MacBook Pro of course! It's the first gen model, unfortunately, but I will be able to change this out every couple years. A true pleasure to use. Incredible performance in such a tiny machine. I think your Studio is going to be amazing.

Hi,

good for you, bad for us.

Is your friend able to create the config.plist based on new OC releases as you did it ?? ;-)

Thx for all the support from your side, I still have to live with this build for a while (and I like it)!

Lol. I don't know if he will be using macOS on it...

If you keep updating the EFI whenever there's a new update to Clover/OpenCore, it's easy. Just make whatever changes are described in the change logs.

God speed, @pastrychef, thank you, but remember, as soon as set foot on the dark path, forever will it rule your destiny
