Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

That's all we need. In fact the other NVMe and SATA drives can remain installed. It's the Windows installer that gets confused when a macOS (HFS or APFS) disk is present.
Hi Casey, I just wanted to let you know the upgrade from USB went fine. I guess something went wrong doing a direct update, but thankfully I'm all up and running again. I'm just updating my backup, but I've learned one lesson: a spinner isn't really a great idea for a bootable backup, I'm going to grab a SATA SSD. The spinners are fine for archive/time machine, but painful to work from.

Thank you as ever for your guidance

Anyone updated to MacOS 12.3 with success? Is this recommended using either OC .7.8 .7.9?

Thanks
I've been running macOS 12.3 successfully on Z490 Vision D since the first public beta. Either 0.7.8 or 0.7.9 is okay.

You might also want to look at this... :)

All golden here with OC 0.7.9 on macOS 12.3. Including the internal intel 82574L NIC.

Did the final 12.3 upgrade.
I really feel the pointer is lagging.
12.2.1 was smoother.
Anyone sharing the same feeling?
Opencore 0.78, EFI "Casey" home made
Thanks!
Roll back to 12.2, no hardware acceleration on RX 5xxx and 6xxx series on 12.3 :(

There is a problem that affects some systems and not others. Hardware acceleration for 5xxx and 6xxx GPUs is still present, but other issues are causing problems with heic images and window resizing in some apps but not in others.

Again this problem does not affect everyone, but we haven’t determined the cause.
