[Success] - Asus ROG Strix Z490-E Gaming + i9 10900K + OpenCore

ok guys, everything seems to work except some things like wifi and bluethoot don't work, i tried with some kext like scope666 suggested but without success, also i would like to understand well if my rtx 3080 can't work with monterey in any way, so i have to use the integrated intel uhd 630 graphics of the cpu. Thanks in advance for your help!

@scope666 I always wanted to ask if it is normal that the system sometimes does not boot since it stuck on the Apple logo …? Of course I use your EFI. I have this problem since the beginning.

Here for WiFi/BT: #1,013

BT works 100% with that USBPorts.kext

WiFi is at now not stable (enough).

To keep it simple it is true that your RTX 3080 will not work in Monterey. Wifi and Bluetooth should work though.

Preamble for those new to Nvidia graphics card choices for a Hackintosh

1. You will only have success choosing macOS compatible graphics if you remember that:  macOS is not Windows

2. Apple incorporates all their graphics drivers into the mac Operating System. There are only drivers in macOS for a very limited subset of graphics cards made by Nvidia and AMD. You can't use any card you'd like as you can with Windows.

3. Most every graphics card manufactured today has Windows 10 drivers you can install to make that specific card work. There are no Nvidia Web Drivers written for Mojave or newer macOS versions. The last release of Nvidia Web Drivers for macOS occurred July 30th 2019. These were intended for Classic Mac Pro users that used discrete Nvidia graphics cards. Note that the 12.0.1 Release version of Monterey has dropped all Nvidia support.

I haven't had this problem, I would keep it in verbose mode during boot so you can see where it's getting stuck, then check the OpenCore guide to see if they have a troubleshooting entry for where it's getting stuck.

Hi again guys, first of all, thanks for the support you have given me, I would just like to say that I am glad that scope666 has given availability to this EFI as a starting point otherwise I would not have been able to go anywhere. Anyway I'm here to tell you that I tried the recommended kext and all the various procedures but nothing managed to make the bluethoot work, so neither did the wi-fi even if you already know about this, however it's not a big problem, the real problem is instead the stop does not work, only the screen is deactivated, the pc does not, and it remains so until I restart it; otherwise it seems to me that everything works. I noticed the ssdt gprw.aml file which in theory should fix the sleep-state, but it doesn't work, maybe it's a prob of the current version of monterey 12.2 ?, thanks as always.

Are you trying to use the onboard Intel Wireless/ Bluetooth card? If so you need a couple of kexts from here to enable it. Please read the documentation as there are different versions of the kexts depending on which version of the operating system you are using (Monterey) https://github.com/OpenIntelWireless

Also bluetooth requires a correct USB port mapping which if your computer doesn't sleep/wake properly you don't have yet. https://github.com/corpnewt/USBMap or https://github.com/USBToolBox/tool
