A number of Hackintosh users with different motherboards have recently recommended the following:
  • When booting Mac and then Windows or vice-verse, perform a cold boot. This means shut down system and flip power switch to off for 5-10 seconds, then power up.

Hello,
Here is the final round trip of USB Mapping of my Gigabyte B550 Vision D-P. Please note the following details:

- Nvidia GTX680 video card;
- Intel AX200 installed, but not used;
- BIOS version is F12 (it is the same of F13 on Vision D model);
- EFI Folder used is the one supplied by @CaseSJ in this post;
- The rear I/O layout reference convention for the mapping sheet below is the following (black=USB2, blue=USB3-A, yellow=USB3-C):

- My case (HAF932 Advanced) has the following layout in front: 4 USB2.0 ports (only 2 ports are connected to the motherboard, to the F_USB1 header). Then 2 USB3.0 type A ports, connected to the motherboard (F_U32 header).

OK, let's jump to the USB Mapping. This is a spreadsheet I have just prepared (for your reference, SX=left, DX=right):

It should be self-explaining, I guess.
Well, these are major considerations about:

a) Front USB2.0 ports, which are connected to the F_USB1 header, don't work. Any device was not recognized by Hackintool nor mounted. Dead at all. As already said, this is fairly weird, because those ports were running before upgrading the BIOS version from F11. For two weeks prior upgrade, I have had there my Logitech USB receiver connected for keyboard and mouse operation.
Now they are not usable.

b) In general, PO10, which is also a USB2.0 port (rear), is a little bit mad, because:
b1) USB2 and USB3 sticks are correctly mounted => GOOD, it looks like working well, but;
b2) A USB2 stick in Hackintool is not correctly recognized: seen as USB2.0 HUB; and
b3) A USB3 stick in Hackintool is not recognized at all.

Other ports look like running well, so far: device is mounted, device is shown in Hackintool with correct properties (device name, speed...).

At the moment, the most annoying situation is losing the front USB2 ports. I don't know how to fix them.
Please note they are working on W10.

If someone is running my motherboard, feel free to share experience or help in finding a solution about front USB2 ports.

WAKE/SLEEP
not tested so far, do not know if it is working on not.

Thank you. Bye.
Good job with the port map. Please try these new files:
  • Replace OC/ACPI/SSDT-B550-PTXH-TO-XHC2.aml with attached version
  • Replace OC/ACPI/SSDT-B550-PTXH-TO-XHC2-NO-PO9-10-11.aml with attached version
  • Replace OC/Kexts/USBPorts-XHC-XHC2.kext with new version in attached ZIP file
  • Replace OC/Kexts/USBPorts-No-PO9-10-11.kext with new version in attached ZIP file
Reboot and check front USB 2 ports again.

I will try. But I already know that, if I do this from Windows, I have problem on macOS as I already told you in the past. Unfortunately, when I shutdown from Windows and I perform a cold boot directly to Mac, I have a lot of devices that remains off, like WiFi, Thunderbolt (after a minute or two I got a freeze). The only way to have everything working on OSX is to perform a reboot from Windows first. Maybe a different quirk configuration the config can solve this? If you any idea to test, I am here. Otherwise, it doesn't matter. It's not a big problem for me to make a reboot from Windows everytime

Hello @CaseySJ,
thanks a lot for the effort! Just replaced those files in my EFI Folder. We are doing a very good progress! Thank you. :)

Gigabyte B550 Vision DP_USB mapping update.png

Let's recap what the above screenshot tells.

Front USB2 ports are now working.
I connected my Logitech USB receiver: finally I have the mouse and keyboard working on front USB2 ports.
Then I tried with both USB2 and USB3 devices: they were correctly mounted, but Hackintool keeps not showing them.
Looking at IORegistryExplorer, I found the two USB sticks on PO14 (XHC2): the upper port on AppleUSB20HubPort@00e30000, the bottom on AppleUSB20HubPort@00e20000.

Rear USB2 ports.
They work as before, devices were correctly mounted but Hackintool keeps not showing them as well.

At the moment, I don't know why Hackintool keeps not showing the devices connected either front or rear USB2 ports. Is this a correct behavior?

Many thanks for now!

Glad to hear it! We can ignore the USB tab in Hackintool at this time and instead use IORegistryExplorer. We can also use System Information --> USB.

I did it without encountering any problem ;)
F14 Not working for me.
Freeze mouse after 20 secondes over Big Sur on dual boot.

Back to F13 after without any problem.

There are a new tab on F14 under "USB-C Titan Ridge with Titan Ridge support"
called USB-C boost for start before bios I think.
