Any idea how to fix Intel BT issue ?
I can't find Bluetooth reset module option in Monterey, I guess the device list is from my Fenvi (which is unplugged currently)
Intel Bluetooth does not currently work in Monterey. It's a known issue, but no fix yet.

hey there, sorry if this is a repeat question: can you give advice on upgrading from motherboard graphics to a dedicated GPU on z390, fresh install of Big Sur a couple months ago using the open core guide. everything is great just finally pulled the plug on a graphics card. amd rx 580.
The RX 580 is natively supported so we can just do this:
  • BIOS --> Initial Display Output --> PCIe 1 Slot (if RX 580 is in Slot 1)
  • Connect monitor to RX 580 and reboot.
Optionally we can disable video output from iGPU by using config-AMD-GPU.plist, renaming it to config.plist, and copying our serial numbers into the PlatformInfo --> DataHub section.

Just sent it back
I think my buggy Fenvi is still a better option
Will try another Fenvi if I find one

Does the Bluetooth dongle work natively in 12.1? I have the same chipset but different board, and in OC 7.7 Bluetooth toggles on in menu bar but the dongle is not discoverable.
The no-name dongle works natively, not the laird one unfortunately.

Hi guys,

I have happily been running a Z390 Designare for the last 2.5 years and have been very happy with the overall stability of my system, all of course due to this thread and CaseySJ :) So thank you very much for that!

I upgraded my GPU to a XFX 6900XT Speedster MERC 319 Limited Black (geez, can they think of any other names to add to that mouthful!) Problem is that the chipset is a slight variant, the XTXH (Device ID 0x73AF).

I am running Monterey on OC 0.74 and it all seems to work fine as I am using a piece of code in the config.plis to spoof the GPU. I am trying to upgrade to 0.77 but if I copy the bits and pieces required to spoof my GPU from a XTXH (0x73AF) to a XTX (0x73BF), I just cant get it to work?

I am using CaseySJ's 0.77 template as I have always done, but I must be doing something wrong.

Would anyone be kind enough to cast an eye over my working 0.74 config.plist and the non working 0.77 config.plist? I can boot the system but there is no hardware acceleration.

Thanks so much in advance :)

Been hackintoshing since 2005 (Mac OS X Tiger 10.4 Intel leak) :)

Hello @loiphin,

The two config files are identical in the areas that concern GPU device-ID spoofing. Which version of WhateverGreen are you using in 0.7.4 and in 0.7.7?

If you boot again with 0.7.4, do you see RX 6900 XT listed in About this Mac?

Hello, I'm going to do a fresh install to update from Mojave to Catalina. I used your Mojave give for the install. As I'm reviewing the Catalina guide, I'm confused as to which parameters have to be set. What parameters? I'm still learning about building so sorry if this seems like an dumb question. Thanks for the help!
Set BIOS parameters according to main guide in Post #1.

Hello @AHrndz,

Welcome to the forum. If you're asking about BIOS parameters, simply click here and open the spoiler corresponding to the BIOS version running on your motherboard. We recommend BIOS F9g or F9i. The most important guides are the ones highlighted in red:
