[Guide] Intel NUC7/NUC8 using Clover UEFI (NUC7i7Bxx,NUC8i7Bxx,etc)

Hi,
I bought my 960 evo in October 2017 ( 4 years ).
Maybe it was slowly dying, I use it now with a small USB external case.
That's what I was wondering, could be the trim bug helped speed along its death crawl. :beachball:

I am hitting a brick wall and am not sure what I am missing (I am sure it is something stupid). I built my USB following the steps from Dortania (Creating the USB | OpenCore Install Guide) and I have screen shotted the resultant files on my USB but when I try and boot from this USB, nothing happens. Anyone have any thoughts about what I missed? I've tried the USB in both the front and the back of the device for USB ports and that doesn't seem to matter. All I can get to is the NVRAM reset.

USB drive is a 16GB SanDisk Ultra Backup Media

Are you sure you placed the EFI folder onto the hidden EFI partition? I use EFI Agent to mount the partition but there are other solutions that do the same thing

Yeah, when I plug in the device on my MacMini it only shows the main mounting point and the only way I am accessing those EFI files is by using the EFI Mounter v3.1 that is available here on tonymacx86.com

I am building another USB drive (actually using my original Clover USB stick from my first build years ago) and seeing if possibly there is a hardware problem. The 16GB stick I have was one of those funky SanDisk models that had a weird U3 partition on it that I had removed. Trying to eliminate the obvious potential problems

Second USB I made isn't bootable... Something is very wrong. I am obviously missing something critical each time I do this and not always the same critical bit... :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

hi,
in your bios boot choice for your USB you have certainly :
1: USB
2: UEFI USB
You must choose second choice.

I don't know why you couldn't without more information, lots of others have successfully.
I found no option to Install Monterey on boot menu. Do we need Apple folder on EFI folder? I found no Apple folder in 7.5 version

If I installed using 7.4 OC version, later I copy-ed the EFI 7.5 version after finishing the installation on my primary boot EFI folder, is that okay?
