[GUIDE] OC 10.13.6 Z490 Gigabyte Aorus Xtreme + Core i5 10400 / i9 11900K + Nvidia GTX 1060

Just noticed you have an error in the HS config.plist. I think you should remove the alc-layout-id then change the remaining layout-id to 01000000. Make sure alcid=1 is also removed.

Done - but still no onboard audio...

Here it is
best to check with:

and try all various layouts, resetting nvram on each boot and checking in sound properties to see what is listed in output section

Thank you for your patience, it is much appreciated.

I went through all the proposed layout IDs one by one, neither of which worked. I could change the alc-layout-ids, trying all the ones in the list (1, 2, 3, ...99), and each change was visible in IOReg. The layout-id stayed at 7 regardless of the config.plist entry, however. I tried both EA060900 00000000 00000000 00000000 and EB060900 00000000 00000000 00000000 as Cpuid1Data masks with the same results.

Codec is ALC887.

think alc does say 7 which is fine

you just need to make sure to edit layout-id only

make sure to test each one:
1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, 33, 40, 50, 52, 53, 87, 99

resetting nvram on each try

I did as instructed, this time changing layout-ids. I noticed that the layout ID in IOReg stays at 7, whereas the alc-layout-ids follow the layout-id set in config.plist (see example screenshots). Went through the whole list again, but it didn't bring onboard audio to life. The changes could be verified in IOReg, but that was it.

Could it be that HS expects KabyLake audio devices at PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1b,0x0) with a layout-id of 50, but the Comet Lake audio is at PciRoot(0x0)/Pci(0x1F,0x3)? I have no idea how to address that via patch, as the native device ID of the i9-10850K's audio is C8060000, and such value can't be entered into Hackintool for audio device spoofing...
