I cleaned up a bit of my config.plist, restarted and my computer worked fine. I reset nvram and now I get "This version of Mac OS X is not supported on this platform!" I can start up using my USB drive and replaced my EFI from a back up, but I still get the error. I'm on Big Sur, I ran my config.plist through sanity checker and it is fine. Any ideas? Thanks!

Change your system definition (SMBIOS) to one that is supported in the version of the OS that you are running.

You could also try using the boot flag -no_compat_check

Thanks. I did change it to iMac17,1 but got the same error.
How do I use the boot flag, I'm using opencore, btw.

Still means that the SMBIOS that you are using is not supported in the version of the OS that you are running.

Ended up updating opencore and redoing config.plist. All good now.
