Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

I don’t use VirtualBox but it could be handy, I’ll try it and see.

Yes, it would be great to have your feedback.
Basically, I cannot install anything I tried so far: Ubuntu, Win10. VirtualBox doesn't boot the VM and I often get visual artifacts. ...while it just works with both VMWare & Parallels.

To be clear: you’re running the VMs from inside macOS? Do you have AppleVTD enabled?

Moments ago on Z490 Vision D. AppleVTD enabled. Try running the VirtualBox installer again.

The EFIClone script needs to be removed from the Preflight section and added to the Postflight section. Please give that a try and see if it works.
Thank you, Casey, for the prompt answer, but Postflight doesn't have the option to run a script.

The screenshot you showed is actually from Postflight and the first option is to run a script. EFIClone is already selected as the post-flight script. If you click the little "x" next to "EFIClone.sh", you will get this:

Please have a look at Step 13 in Post 1 to see what might be different. The screenshots in that post are from CCC version 5.x.x, but they're easy enough to reinterpret for CCC version 6.x.x.

All, just a reminder that discussion of Developer Betas is not permitted. The MacRumors article is in the public domain, but we should not disclose anything here that is under NDA. Just wait a couple of days until it becomes a public beta.
Monterey 12.1 public beta is available now.

Hi everyone, thanks for all the amazing advice in this thread, I've been happily running this build for a few years now, trouble free.

After reading several posts describing the Monterey upgrade as smooth, I decided to give it a go last night. I upgraded my Big Sur to OpenCore 0.7.4, which worked great. Then I did the Monterey install, which proceeded smoothly, but after the install finished, on first boot I had a sudden hard reboot during the progress bar. This happened repeatedly, I couldn't get to the login screen. After a little more reading I noticed that the 2.5GbE NIC is reported as "not working" after install, so I unplugged the LAN from it and rebooted. This time I made it to the login screen, but had another hard reboot shortly after login. After booting up again, I made it into sysprefs and disabled the 2.5GbE NIC, and since then the system has been running happily. As reported by others, the 1GbE NIC seems to work fine. As a test, I later tried re-enabling the 2.5GbE NIC, and shortly after plugging in the LAN cable I had a hard reboot, so it seems like they're related. I wanted to mention in case it helps someone else, in at least some cases the 2.5GbE NIC might be responsible for reboots or crashes.

Thanks again for all the hard work that goes into the many updates and tireless problem solving :)

Hi,

just upgraded to 12.0.1 and wanted to quickly share some notes:
  • Very smooth upgrade from 11.6.1 using OC 0.7.4. No hiccups.
  • “i225-V” Ethernet adapter is not working (expected).
  • New PCIe LAN card HP NC360T (Intel 82571EB) works natively on both Big Sur and Monterrey.
  • Bluetooth Fenvi T919 BCM94360CD: Seems like I need to turn Bluetooth off and on every time I log in or wake from sleep. After that all Bluetooth macOS features seems to work fine (even airdrop from hack to apple devices).
  • Time from OC picker to Login screen is about ~21 seconds (WD Black SN750).
Overall I'm pretty satisfied, so far

OpenCore 0.7.5 is due as early as this Monday, November 1. At that time I'll make several modifications to the EFI, including:
  • Latest BlueToolFixup kext
  • Latest BrcmPatchRAM kexts
You'll be able to enable/disable any of these as needed.
