Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Hey friends. So is it worth upgrading to Monterey now? It's all OK?

I haven't experienced any problems but I also have not really been using my system very heavily. Been a bit busy with real life...

Hi. I am using a nearly similar configuration. The only difference is the video. I am using the RX570. For USB ports to work, turn off XhciPortLimit. And I also use USBInjectAll.kext. Sorry for the English, I'm just studying
My EFI is in the app. Works in Big Sur and Monterey
Thanks much! I'll try that - and your English is pretty damn good.

A little doubt here, guys.

When I go to System Preferences > Software Update and check for updates it just says that I have the Big Sur up to date, they don't offer me Monterey. Is this a symptom of something wrong with my hackinstosh?

What I have different is that I removed dmar-ssdt and delete dmar from my config.plist for dualboot.

thanks

Same thing happened to me. Monterey appeared after I did the Big Sur update.

Thanks again for this. Worked my way through it and got it all working, wasn't difficult.

As usual, seemed more complex than it is, or at least this time out. Much obliged.

Looks related to USB. Is your EFI on a USB flash drive? Are you installing from a USB installer? Which Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card are you using?
EFI and install/update file is on the Mac SSD and the Wifi BT card is BRCM20702.

Knowing that ericfa has the same issue with clover I'll wait for the next clover version

Try with OpenCore. It has come a long way and is much easier to work with now with tools such as OpenCore Configurator.

Done ;-) Now Monterey is up and running.

Thx for all your effort and work in this forum!

@pastrychef - which NVMe SSD are you using? I am reading about some TRIM issues with the Samsungs causing the Monterey boot times to be excessively long. Are you having any problems? I think we have the same NVMe -- Samsung 970 EVO

I was going to update to Monterey this weekend but I'm probably going to hold off until I see some clarity from the Bluetooth and NVME problems.
