For my build in the sig I need help! It's over a week I'm trying to make Bigsur work. Tried every BIOS combination, every EFI folder I could find and nothing...
Trying to boot from a preinstalled Bigsur and got random kernel panics, or maybe it's the same, just the MB freezes in random places...
I tried Dortania guide and all efi folders I could find for my MB and nothing.
Symptoms:
-can boot to the desktop once in 100 times, and when there it reboots after like 20-30sec
-Have strange kernel panics on VirtualSMC and AppleSMC kext, please see attached pics!
-can boot into Recovery partition, run Terminal or Disk utility but cant boot to the desktop on preinstalled Bigsur.
-from Recovery I installed mac again on a separate pcie AHCI Samsung ssd and no, same kernel panics and reboots...
-also saw a lot of lines about Apple NVME Controller so I pulled out the samsung 950 pro and tried with wd blue sata drive, same result.
-disabled iGPU, both lan adapters, thunderbolt, the same...
sometimes I see the line: No port micro restart ( we don't support SMC on this platform) and then restart. Also some lines about no NVRAM file
-tried iMacPro1,1/MacPro6,1/iMac20,2 SMBIOS

I'm desparate guys, need to finish some video editing work asap...
I'm sure it's something simple since with all EFI folders I found kernel panics are basically the same, but I'm not skilled enough to solve it...
:banghead::banghead::banghead:

Small update: maybe I'm wrong, need to further test it, but I just noticed that all those panics are when I mismatch SMBIOS (with or without iGPU) and iGPU enabled/diasabled in bios. When I disable iGPU in bios and use MacPro6.1 I can boot to the desktop BUT it freezes at firts second it appears...

I'm afraid you used too many different EFIs: Too many kexts (MCEReporterDisabler? CtlinaAHCIPort?); SSDT-RHUB should not be necessary with Gigabyte according to the guide, OpenLinuxBoot but no ext4 driver; an HPET method rename but no replacement provided through a SSDT; debug versions of Lilu and WhateverGreen mixed with OpenCore-release… Generally too many things but nothing for USB.

Can you give pointers as to where you picked the EFI(s)? If readers can make sense of some of settings, we may arrive at a stable EFI folder faster than by starting from scratch with a minimal EFI and adding up as needed.

Too many, yes, but I dont mixed them. Also, just added a small update to the first post, please take a look!
So:

With no (usable) iGPU, a post-Skylake CPU and Vega GPU, iMacPro1,1 or MacPro7,1 should be the best matches, not MacPro6,1 (if that's not a typo).
Thanks for the links, let me have a look in there.

Gonna try right now the 7,1. But, can you please explain why I can boot in Preboot graphical interface? And not on installer or installed OS...

You're using the wrong system type settings! Try SMBIOS Macbook15,1, AAPL-ig-platform-id 00001619 and device-id 16190000. Also make sure Lapic Kernel Panic and UnblockFSConnect is selected (these are for HP systems).

Started from start. This link:
MacPro7,1 I have that notification, not kernel panic. But, again, I can easily boot into Preboot partition...
Take a look.

Aty this moment I really dont care about iGPU so I dont want and cant wast my time on it since I have radeon vII. I need to finish editing my videos and cant accees them cause my raid is on a raid card and I have no OS...
Gonna try now UnblockFSConnect.

I also read around that 11.6 is different in some aspects from previous versions and that people had problems updating to 11.6. In my case I have 11.6... I don't know if at this stage it's worth to try installing directly Monteray...

If you want, I have a full working HP notebook Big Sur build for my HP Kaby Lake laptop which is working on 11.6. You could remove the AMD ACPIs and device-ids I have in there and see if it works for you.

Scrap that, I totally forgot you're on a Z590! In that case try my guide here, which I have working on i5 10500 on Z490 (settings should be the same). Just remove the Nvidia device-ids > https://www.tonymacx86.com/threads/...re-i5-10400-i9-11900k-nvidia-gtx-1060.310287/
