Broadcom WiFi/Bluetooth [Guide]

I don’t see the option in my bios. Will the config.plist suffice? I see two options, should they both be disabled? View attachment 531780The guide I followed said to enable the xpcmcfglock if you don’t see cfg lock in bios.

That will work, but the latest Z390 BIOS from Gigabyte should have the option to disable it... Doing it in BIOS is preferable.

I have the itx version of the board, which has its own bios releases. Of the two cfg entries in the screen I shared, which ones should be enabled or disabled?

@pastrychef I had to use these instructions to set CFG Lock to 0, which I've done, and also set the two cfg entries to "false" in the config.plist. Still don't have any wifi connectivity though.

Is the Wi-Fi appearing and just not functioning?

Please try going to Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/ and delete the following:
com.apple.airport.preferences.plist
NetworkInterfaces.plist
preferences.plist

Then reboot.

Ok. just did that and now WiFi doesn't appear in Network Preferences at all. Not sure where to go from there. How can I tell if the pcie is picking up the wifi? Bluetooth in the same card is working, but I think that's because it's via USB.

Try launching Hackintool and look in the PCI tab.

Also, does the Wi-Fi appear in Windows or Linux?

It's not showing anything in the PCI section of SysInfo, and I don't think it appears in Hackintool either (output attached). I feel like I've gone one step back. Should I revert anything?
I did notice that WifI is disabled in my bios, but I think that's just the Intel onboard wifi which I want disabled.

I've tried a new Fenti card as well with the same result, so have kind of ruled out that it's the adapter I was using.

EDIT: I don't have Windows/Linux to test on unfortunately

If it's not showing up in Hackintool, they system is not seeing it.

Try enabling Wi-Fi in BIOS.

I reset BIOS settings and went one by one with the recommendations from the guide. With WiFi enabled, it pulls up the following, which is the onboard wifi, but I'd really like to use the Fenvi card.

I have a single PCI slot on my mobo (x16). Do you know of any issues running x1 cards on it? I can't think of any reason the PCI slot would not work. Are there any of my configs impeding it?

@pastrychef It does look like deleting the Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration files removed WiFi from my system. Where do we go from here?
