Motherboard
Gigabyte Z490 Aorus Ultra (rev 1.1)
CPU
10700K
Graphics
UHD 630
Mac

I'm trying to Hackintosh a Z590 10700K system using Opencore.
Here is GitHub link containing my final EFI folder and the build specs (EFI Folder link)

This is a completely new build without any operating system installed

When I boot the MacOsInstaller USB, it stops at below screen for Few mins.
And then I get the next screen where first line is MAC framework successfully Initialized But any text after that has broken English letters (I though these are some garbage characters but if you look closely at screenshot then it is English but the letters are not printed correctly on screen, so seems something related to display, I do not have a dedicated GPU)

Also, If I don't stop the installation, after 1 more minute, at the center of screen a Gray Circle with slash shows up.
And 2 blank lines keeps adding after every mins at the bottom of screen.

I had this issue yesterday, but luckily I've managed to solve it.
I found it here.
What I did is simply added USBPorts.kext and disabled USBInjectall.kext, don't forget to edit your config.plist accordingly.

I attached the one that I used, you'll fine USBPorts.kext and check config.plist to add USBPorts.kext and disable USBInjectall.kext

I hope this helps!

Hey. thanks for reply.
But i think my problem is a little different.
I was getting random characters on screen, so I couldn’t even see what error I was getting when installation halted.

also seems you’re using a dedicated graphics card.
the post you mentioned in your reply is also having an AMD graphics card.

I was using a Z590 MOBO with intel 10700k without any dGPU(no graphics card)

if you check my other post ( here ), I was told by many MODs that z590 will not work without a dGPU.

Everyone suggested to

either buy a dGPU
or change the motherboard to Z490.

I decided to not spend more money and decided to use Z490 Mobo with iGPU.
Now I already dismantled my rig and returned the mobo and now ordered a Gigabyte Z490 Arous Ultra. (renewed one from amazon)

I’ll try again with this one. will keep you posted.

No, @algady is on the right track concerning the message in the broken text screengrab.

The last line says "still waiting for root device" which happens when the USB port being used becomes disabled during boot. The system can no longer read the device you are booting from.

So by configuring your USB ports correctly they don't become disabled.

This is a separate issue to the iGPU output which is still a problem with a 500-series / Comet Lake CPU mix.

Two things to try:

1) Use a different USB port for your Flash drive. In preference one of the two ports under the PS/2 port on the back pan e l.

2) Install the USBinjectAll.kext into the OpenCore EFI/kext folder and edit the config.plist to include it.

oh wow.
that makes an experienced person great. you can understand broken text too.

Regarding the last line in broken text screen, i couldn’t even understand what it says.
Now when you told that it is “still waiting for root device” i can see it.

But unfortunately i’ve already returned the z590 motherboard and ordered a (refurbished) Z490, which hasn’t arrived yet.
it’ll be coming on sunday.
I’ll try with USBinectAll kext with same change in config.plist.

but regarding putting installed flashdrive into right ports.
On sunday, during installation i did try by putting usb under various ports.

usbA 2.0 ports at back panel. (right under ps/2 port)

in usb 3 port in back panel.

and even the usb 3 gen 1 port in case front that i connected to motherboard front usb socket. (although i don’t think this will be work)

everytime same error. i did nit have the Usb…. kext though
