Hello, I have been trying to install macOS Big Sur on my PC with an Evga X99 motherboard and a Core i7 5930k (haswell-e). This has been the hardest thing I've ever done with Hackintoshing. Catalina didn't even work until I installed it on an external drive off of my MacBook. I have tried using both clover and open core. New versions of clover don't even show an "install macOS Big Sur" option, however old versions do. The problem with that though is when I try to boot Big Sur from an old version of clover, the screen just goes black. Any suggestions??

You have a RX 550 graphics card? That card is not supported on MacOS. You will need a supported graphics card (RX 560 / RX 570 / RX 580 / RX 5000 series for example) to install and run MacOS on your computer.

Big Sur requires either OpenCore or Clover 5124 and later to boot.

I've posted a list of Nvidia cards. For AMD cards just look at the more recent Buyers Guides. The oldest AMD cards I would use are Polaris 21, which the RX 560 is. Older Kepler cards work natively but are much older than AMD Polaris.

thank you,i will take a look to your thread

I have seen people install macOS with an RX550 before, I am able to get at least some text on the screen now. it boots up until it says...

ACPI: sleep states s3 s4 s5
HID: Legacy shim 2

How do i get past this?

Those are RX550s that have 640 shaders. If you have one with 512 shaders it's not going to work.
Shaders are also sometimes called SP or Stream Processors. Which 550 do you have ?

If the specs are like this, you're just wasting your time trying to make it work.

The 640 SP versions are Polaris 21 based and have macOS support.

I have an XFX RX550 4GB Card 512 stream processors 128 bit memory GDDR5

Would be best to purchase a used Nvidia Kepler card unless you want to spend $300 + on an RX 560.

Thats bs man. i just bought this card.
