Same Problem
I solve with fresh install on other disk and migration apps , users and Documents

had this too....till this day no idea why

Same issue here with boot delay. No idea what causes that for now.
But after booting - everything works without any issues.

Can it be slow TRIM of Samsung drives in boot? I haven’t tried a non-Samsung drive to know. But even Big Sur had a delay for me with certain Samsung nvme drives until I used the opencore tweak to shorten the trim timeout during boot.

Hmm, BigSur booted without any significant delays before upgrade.

If you haven’t already, try a non-Samsung drive like say a western digital and see if that helps. Maybe in the next beta or two Apple will fix the issue.

Same problem here. It takes my hack about 130 seconds to boot from the point of entering my password. I'm using FileVault and OC 0.7.3 and a m.2 Samsung 970 evo 1tb. No clue why the boot is so slow, used to work flawless with Big Sur.

Same problem, same 130 sec, same 970 Evo, OC 0.7.2. Except for having to wait 2 minutes for startup, quite a golden build.
Edit: Disabled TRIM, does not seem to make a difference.
