Hi there.

Have you checked-out post #297 above, given the guide is for both 600 and 800 series?

We don't usually send people off-site to get help.
Sorry. I was only looking at it as supplemental information. I did not want to cause a problem or break any rules. Please delete my post if its an issue.

I did not say you were breaking any rules. You did not cause a problem. No need to delete anything.

You are posting in a build thread that includes EFI folders that should work with the PCs in the title.

We can't support external methods for creating a hackintosh - that is for the other site to do.

I was asking if you had tried the EFI included with post #297 ?

If so what problems did you experience?

Maybe someone here can offer help.

:)

Hello all
I know this thread is kinda old now but I have a working Hackintosh install on my HP Elitedesk 800 G2 SFF i7-6700 Skylake. I currently have Monterey 12.4 installed and working pretty decent.
Is there an EFI available that works well with this system from this post. Just looking to try an EFI that might give me the best stability for the system I am using. And maybe one that has better USB port mapping. I know there are a lot of EFI's available for the 800 G2. Just not sure which may be the best for my specific system.
thanks

what is the issue with your setup?

...found a GT 710 new for around $50 bucks. Cool. I followed a few more guides to NVIDIA drivers on 10.13.6, installing drivers, editing config.plist, and 2 kexts. Oh, and the secret key... disable "integrated graphics" in the HP BIOS.

And WOW does this run amazing! Fast, quiet, and surprisingly seems stable! Shutdown, sleep, etc works, for now... knock on wood.

If anyone with similar hardware has any issues, I am very inexperienced in Hackintosh-ing, but may be able to share what I did to get mine working!

Cheers!
Please share what you did. I have the same card (GT 710)

@pastrychef Can you please tell me which USB patch in Kernel and Kext Patches needs to be disabled also do i need to disable any of your SSDT’s ...
Please, can you upload the latest EFI filder you have used for the Prodesk 600 G2 Mini? I have the same computer but i don't know what is the latest EFI version, I have read several changes to use audio and USB, and I don't know if the @pastrychef EFI folder is the best version.

I never owned on of these systems and, therefore, don't keep any updated EFIs.

Even those with no experience can use this app to make a Skylake based EFI folder in a few minutes. It downloads the latest kexts and drivers for you. Sets up the config.plist based on the current dortania guide. Super easy.

Modify as needed for your specific graphics and audio chips.

It was updated to OC 0.8.3 in August.
