Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

First thing to check is whether Initial Display Output in BIOS is set to PCIe 1 Slot.

The next thing would be to perform CMOS Reset, which subsequently requires BIOS to be reconfigured.
I tired that but does not help.

When you say the RX580 works in Windows only, does that mean it simply does not work in macOS?

When did the problem begin? Did anything change recently? Are you using the same monitor and same video cable as before?

If there’s no video output from the RX580 during BIOS and OpenCore, it indicates a motherboard/BIOS problem. It could also indicate a monitor problem (old monitors are generally not recommended).

No changes recently. Just was in windows for a few days and not mac because of work, today when i tried to boot mac i cannot get into the OC boot screen and i cannot get into bios if the hdmi cable is connected to RX580. The system when powered on will eventually boot into windows. If i use my Nvidia card i get the bios screen and OC boot menu. The asus and gigabyte are doing the same thing if i move the RX580 card.

Hello @joe6187,

This panic log does not identify any particular cause. Therefore we need to characterize the problem. This means determining the circumstances under which the problem occurs.

Does the problem occur randomly or can you reproduce the error by following certain steps?

Which version of macOS are you running?

How long was your system running properly before this error started?

If your system was running fine for weeks or months, but this problem started recently, then what changes were made to your system?
This problem cause since 11.1 with OC0.69, now I upgrade to 11.51 with OC0.71. This problem keep reboot after picker, securitymode set as DISABLED. but no luck. Almost fix all problem, WIFI, BT, LAN....etc, only turn on and reboot issue keep going, reset VRAM then easy get into system. Use usbmap already, all port ok. WiFi card use Brm9460cdp, all good. M.2 use WDS750.

Some RX580s have a BIOS switch to flip between OC and Silent modes. If yours has a switch, try both positions.

Also try enabling CSM Support in BIOS.

Beyond that I’m not sure what else to suggest.

Thanks, I just opened up the RX580 and looked for a switch and also changed the thermal paste while it was opened, no switch, I will try the CSM and see.

Because you are using Vision G, it is necessary to define a maximum of 15 USB ports. I’ll take a look at your config.plist soon. Meanwhile, please check this post:
As described in that post we need to enable SSDT-UIAC-VISION-G-V3.aml and disable kernel quirk XhciPortLimit.
