[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Hi CaseySJ! The Fenvi T919 card is installed on PCIeX4. I had initially installed my setup with Big Sur 11.2 with everything working and then attempted to upgrade to 11.5 yesterday based upon your supplemented SSDTs. But the WiFi and front 3.0 USB ports of my Define R6 did not work.
It might be a good idea to move the Fenvi into the short PCIEX1 slot. Hopefully you have space in that area. We should always shutdown the system and flip power switch on PSU to OFF when inserting or removing devices from the motherboard. This forces the BIOS to rescan for hardware changes.

My problem is that the Fenvi card works with Bluetooth and wifi in 11.2. Wifi only works for a few minutes in 11.4 or 11.5 and completely shuts off, Bluetooth works in 11.4 or 11.5. Would placing this in the short PCI slot help with the wifi for 11.4 or 11.5?

That is of course a very reasonable question. The reason for moving the card into another slot is because there are only two options I can offer:

1. CMOS Reset
2. Move card to X1 slot

Will be more than happy to place the card into the X1 slot, before I upgrade back to 11.5. Can you please review my config.plist and let me know if I am missing anything? I did apply your USB SSDT, thunderbolt SSDT, along with the Fractal R6 SSDT as I'm running a Gigabyte Designare Z390.

Your config.plist and presumably the EFI folder are significantly different from what we prescribe in this build thread. This does not mean your configuration is wrong; it just means that you are ultimately responsible for ensuring that you have an optimal configuration for your needs.

There is one problem shown below that affects USB port map:

I removed one of them and will change over the Fenvi card onto the X1 slot, fingers crossed it should be resolved whilst upgrading to 11.5 .

I think CaseySJ has warnings about Thunderbolt 3 monitors. You should see that somewhere if you search this thread. Displayport and HDMI monitors work pretty much without fuss though.
Wow I missed that. I love the look and idea of TB3 but I have no desire for MORE fuss...

An Embarrassing Tale... but maybe helpful to someone out there. This is a tale of RTFM...
I proudly built my fancy Hackintosh, it's all working and my MacBook Pro is all sad and collecting dust. One last thing, get my Bluetooth going.

Install the brand new Fenvi t919, turn it on and Wifi works! Plug and Play!!
"Wait", I think to myself... where is bluetooth? No bluetooth! 50% isn't good enough today. Maybe bad card?

Spend several hours digging through the forums, google search.

In all my years of IT this is the first card I've ever seen requiring an internal USB connection. So odd.

Yeah - I didn't read the instructions that came with the card...

Just a heads up, that's an odd card

Alas, Bluetooth operates over USB even when the transceiver is installed on a PCIe card. Hence all such cards require a USB connection to a motherboard USB 2 header.

The unexpected keeps life interesting! Thanks for everything you do, I'm absolutely loving my new Mac!
