After successfully getting wifi operational with itlwm I am now trying to get bluetooth working with it's sister kext IntelBluetoothFirmware. My device, 8087_07dc (in decimal vendor id 32903 and product id 2012) is listed in among the supported ones and, after adding FakePCIID.kext and FakePCIID_XHCIMux.kext, the bluetooth icon appeared under system -> preferences on the "mac".

However whenever I click "turn bluetooth on" there is a brief flash, but the device remains turned off. Not sure where to go from here...

config.plist attached

you also need to setup your ports:

I had tried but USBInjectAll.kext produced the "prohobited" sign on some occasions (not always). Now I've been through the guide and limited the number of ports. Just one question:

The guide mentions on several occasions the limit of 15, but does not say (as I've seen in some other places) that this relates only to the xhc controller. Is this right? For the moment I've only restricted these USB ports to 15

But the long and the short is that bluetooth is now working :)

Thanks to you all again

yes, that is correct, 15 ports max, normally you can get away with having all ports active on a laptop as they only have a few

desktop motherboards differ as they have loads and the user will need to sacrifice some ports to be in the limit

well done on getting everything sorted and thanks again for letting me know about intel wifi and recovery option
