Gigabyte Z490 Vision D (Thunderbolt 3) + i5-10400 + AMD RX 580

I'm not sure if there are multiple author versions on HackinDROM now, but I think that's my version there in the screenshot.
Oh, apologies!! Previous post updated.

Update on my setup and 2 issues I am currently facing on Big Sur 11.5 (20G70) and Monterey 12.0 public ß2 (21A5284e).
Booting through OC 0.71 from Mini Guide (after USBInjectAll issue fixed) AMD IntelWireless WIFI.

- On Big Sur Wifi and both Ethernet ports are working BUT No Bluetooth available.
- On Monterey Wifi and Ethernet port are working BUT no Bluetooth and no i225-V Ethernet port available.

I have triple checked everything in the config.list and need your input as I don't have clue anymore to solve it out.
Most likely a small thing I missed....
Thanks in advance as usual :)

Anyone managed to get an app similar to RGB Fusion to control the lighting from MacOS?

Use this boot arg in NVRAM "dk.e1000=0" without the quotes and disable/remove anything in device properties>Add in relation to the network kexts for Monterey, also works in Big Sur 11.4 for me. Also enable the below SSDT for bluetooth to enable the USB port it is o=connected to, mine did not work till I enabled this SSDT. For BT in Monterey you need to have BluetoolFixup.kext enabled and IntelBluetoothInjector.kext disabled.

***EDIT*** Also disable FakePCIID.kext and FAKEPCIID_Intel_i225-V.kext if you gonna use that boot arg.

Hmmm I am using native EFi from @CaseySJ , it did not appear to be so sophisticated to setup...

What is your problem? Mine is working fine.
Setup in windows though.
The lighting works in Mac but does not retain its settings from Windows to Mac. I want to have different colours for CPU fan and the other RGB Fans.

I am also using Casey's EFI but tweaked it a little to boot BS and Monterey without having issues. The kexts I have disabled and the boot arg allows me to seamlessly switch between the 2 and also allowed me to upgrade to Beta3 with no issues.

Sure; please run MaciASL and select File --> New from ACPI --> DMAR. Save it and post it!

Hi Casey, FYI
Previously my Z490 Vision D, i7-11700K, BigSur 11.4 OC 0.7.1 was flashed with your v50 Z490 Vision D TR custom firmware which magically enabled Thunderbolt Networking, Apple Thunderbolt Gigabit Adapter via TB3->TB2 Adapter and AVB... Thunderbolt ports were solid, TB hot-plug worked perfectly. No Thunderbolt Hubbing support. USB via these rear TB Type-C ports was terribly intermittent - somedays the TR USB3 controller would not appear and hot-plug had hormones ? Other non-TR USB ports were perfect.

I just reflashed back to the original GC v50 TB Blue Chip firmware cause I needed USB4/TB3 Hubbing - that now works and USB hot-plug via the rear TB Type-C ports is now reliable. A few things stopped as expected - no Thunderbolt Networking or AVB and the Apple Thunderbolt Gigabit Adapter partially loads than fails to operate (my VT-d is enabled by default in BIOS and DisableIOMapper=True).

So the new adventure that I saw you were involved with DMAR and friends:
I just changed DisableIOMapper=False, added the DMAR table mods and the Apple Thunderbolt Gigabit Adapter & AVB came back to life. AppleVTD now appears in the IOReg. "Thunderbolt Bridging" did not return - not visible in the Network + Pull-down box.

Do I understand correctly that DMAR/AppleVTD is an option to enable Thunderbolt networking for "ICM mode" Thunderbolt since modern real Macs include "Extended Mode" Thunderbolt, which quietly include Thunderbolt Networking, AVB.. within their Thunderbolt mechanics so don't need or include AppleVTD ? My M1 Mac doesn't have AppleVTD, but all Thunderbolt Networking, AVB etc works.

Thx Jeff

Hi,

I just noticed that you need top section of the SSDT-UIAC-VISION-D-*.aml. The the section (USBX) about seems to set proper current for the ports and with this, I'm not getting turbo charging over USB-C ports. I have attached the modified AML below. Open this and V2 in MaciASL to see what I mean.

I'll try to check out other guides to see how they came up to such numbers and figure out if those can be customized to the VISION D board any further. For first glance, these seems to be matching with generic SSDTs from Dortania's.

Add this along with the new port map. Remove other old SSDTs.

Didn't notice that either. Thanks for the attachment!
