After moving from Clover to OpenCore I'm making better progress on installing Big Sur from USB to laptop.

I am currently getting stuck at what appears to me to be images asking me to connect (or turn on) mouse and keyboard:

I am using these kexts:

AirportItlwm.kext
AppleALC.kext
FakePCIID.kext
FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext
FakePCIID_Intel_HDMI_Audio.kext
IntelBluetoothFirmware.kext
Lilu.kext
USBInjectAll.kext
VirtualSMC.kext
VoodooPS2Controller.kext
WhateverGreen.kext

and I attach the .plist file.

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong?

FakePCIID_Intel_HD_Graphics.kext is not needed anymore

you haven't listed your voodoops2 plugins in your config.plist

check the files in my guide in my signature

Lilu kext should be listed first in your config.plist

you can normally press space bar at that screen

Quick response. Many thanks. Will check (didn't realise that the listing order is so important)

Started again, but this time from your config.plist file, then carefully went through this guide for haswell laptops. This time managed to get all the way through to the disk utility with a working trackpad and keyboard!

Not quite sure what you mean by "erase the drive and start the installation":
  • When erasing the drive does it matter what format to use? I chose APFS
  • How does the installation start? Now worked out that I need to close the disk utility first
Many thanks for all your help. So pleased to have got this far :)

I've got new issues but I'll post them in a new thread as they're post boot issues
