I'm fairly new to the project here, but I got a Matebook through work that I can't resell(clause from buying on staff discount) until March next year, and I need MacOS on it. I googled, and discovered several people have done this with the same machine.
The specs:
intel i5-10210
16GB RAM
512 M.2
I've downloaded Catalina, unibeast and multibeast as per the guide. I followed installation instructions as per the guide, but the laptop doesn't want to recognize the USB drive(tried 3 different ones) in the BIOS. I tried Unibeast with UEFI and Legacy, same story. Doesn't recognize the damn thing as a bootable device. In the BIOS, USB is set to first priority, but doesn't detect it. Being a Matebook Pro X, it needs a USB C to USB dongle attached to connect USB devices and such, so I think that might be the issue, but seeing as other people have made it work, I'm pleading a case nonetheless. Connecting USB C power through the dongle also doesn't affect anything.
I'm out of ideas, and very soon, also out of a macbook that can create the USB drives for me.
Any takers?
