Is it possible to update with QFlash ?

Thank You CaseySJ
Wonderful relay race!

After flashing the BIOS, please configure BIOS parameters again:
  • Start with F7 (Load Optimized Defaults)
  • Remember also to disable CFG-Lock from Boot section and to enable Vt-d
  • Also please uncheck the current Thunderbolt SSDT in ACPI section of config.plist and add/enable the new one attached.
Then perform a cold boot (shutdown computer, pull power cable or flip PSU power switch for 15 seconds). When system restarts:
  • Check if Ethernet and WiFi are okay
  • Check if Antelope interface is still okay
  • In IORegistryExplorer, click on NHI0 (under RP05) and post a screenshot

Ok, I post my reply with my phone because I have no more ethernet/wifi with vtd enabled. Finally, my orion32+ works on z390 F9i original firmware, with vtd enabled.
Oh snap! So Audio passes through without issues!?!?

D'oh! I thought I need to set the number of threads inside of the CpuTSCSync kext, and in trying to find the value in PlistEditPro, I caused all kexts to now show as folders.
I tried rebuilding Launch Services, but I think the command is for Sierra, because it didn't take. Does anyone have a Terminal Command solution for this?

  • Is this for the Z390 Designare?
  • Do you have a bootable backup? If so, simply grab the working EFI folder from there.

I have the Fenvi installed in a PCIe x1 slot (short slot). Is it the same for you?
Yes, that’s where I have it. Was the modified BIOS you’re running intentionally changed to allow for the Fenvi card to work? Or is that a behavior you’re seeing as a result of the previous work?
