[Success] - Asus ROG Strix Z490-E Gaming + i9 10900K + OpenCore

i'll throw this out first - not sure if this is even the right answer but maybe it has something to do with NVRAM - try resetting or clearing NVRAM at opecore boot - (no flames required if I'm wrong lol)
I already tried this – with no luck.

Hi there.

Maybe upload your config.plist, with the serial-numbers and UUIDs redacted for safety, so we can check it for you.

:)

Thank you very much for the effort!

I don't know why but the start is now really, really slow… thought?!

I had a similar issue and was fixed by generating fresh smbios info (serial etc). Even though the previous one was fine.

I just noticed my sleep no longer works on 11.4 - has anybody else noticed that their sleep has stopped working recently?

Here's a build of 0.7.0 with all the latest kexts, updates Resources folder, etc. Let me know how it works for you and I'll add to the 1st post if good.

Code:
craig@Craigs-iMac ocvalidate % ./ocvalidate /Volumes/EFI/EFI/OC/config.plist

Completed validating /Volumes/EFI/EFI/OC/config.plist in 1 ms. No issues found.

EDIT: Re-uploaded EFI 0.7.0 v1.1 with I225-V patch disabled and FakePCIID method enabled per note on previous page from wvpoeijer (Compatibility with macOS 11.4)

BTW, I'm also noticing issues with the Intel I225-V Ethernet on 11.4, they must have messed with the built-in driver, and our spoof isn't playing well with it, even with the FakePCIID method. (I'm guessing packet loss based on Zoom behavior)

If anyone stumbles on a fix, please post here.

This was the fix for a similar issue in the early days, but obviously it's not enough now:

It works, thank you!

Anyway, the boot is always very slow. I'm sure it was after I used OnyX to "clean" the system. I started in verbose and it hangs up for a while here -> see attached files.

Suggestions other than to made a clean install?

I'm guessing you're already booting from an NVMe drive? Yeah, clean install is probably the way to go, even though it's a PITA.
