Sorry if this is a dumb question, but why? What's the PlistEditPro/Xcode procedure? I thought that's what we were trying next. I thought that was meant to try and resolve why the debug was indicating that my clover changes weren't saving.

no support for your nvidia card

no support for your nvidia card
What does "support" mean in this context? Because this machine runs Catalina from a visual performance perspective just fine. Are you saying my Nvidia card is the direct reason why my Clover changes aren't sticking? Why are we suddenly abandoning your PlistEditPro/Xcode software attempt?

it means that your nvidia card won't work properly on your hackintosh

Can I proceed without the card, or is that literally the only reason iMessage isn't working
My friend no disrespect but you need to do some research. In your search specify exactly what is wrong with your install then use google to try and track down the fix. The basic questions you're asking leads me to believe you are just winging it hoping for a quick fix. Quick fixes are ok as long as you understand how and why they work which will undoubtedly lead you to help your self in the future.

Building and running a hackintosh is a steep learning curve and is not something you can cobble together overnight, sure you can get lucky with an install and boot straight to the Desktop, but you need to understand the basics of how you got there so that when it fails, you will have a vague idea of why it failed.
Sorry if I sound like a kill joy but research is the key. There are plenty of tutorials around like 'Getting Started' so spend sometime and do some reading. Good luck.

No disrespect taken, and none meant in response. To oversimply things, I have researched and am not looking for a quick fix. I have been trying to make iMessage work for over a year now on two different machines and always get stuck at the very last step of chatting with an agent with a customer code. I have read and researched countless different guides all of which have tiny little variances between different Mac OS versions and genuinely tried my best to get iMessage working. I've easily been able to get everything in Catalina working just fine across numerous attempts and again, with the two different machines. And every single time I try and google my very specific problems, it's always led me to this thread, the iMessage for Idiot's thread, and dozens of other derivatives all more or less saying the same thing with same suggestions to fix it. And all of them have not worked. I hesitated on asking for help for over a year because I normally can figure these things out. I build PCs from scratch all the time so I at least know a little bit.

I finally gave in and asked for help a few days ago, and to this helpful forum and your credit, you immediately started helping with suggestions I hadn't heard before that started narrowing things to where we are now. I may have just registered this username but I am a long, long, long-time lurker.

I'm not looking for handholding here. I feel like over the past few days I'm suddenly much closer to finally resolving this and I'm grateful for that, but after a few rapid-fire basic questions from me, I'm suddenly being brushed off.
I can feel that I'm close to the finish line; I'm just hoping someone can give me the tools to cross it. And by "tools" I mean something more specific than sending me to read the Beginner guides.

I *think* I just need to be told where to find instructions on how to make it such that the Debugger finally saves my Clover settings, whether with this dumb laptop with RTX, my dumb desktop with GTX 980Ti, or it's literally impossible with this equipment. Again, I apologize for not knowing RTX doesn't "support" macOS; nor not knowing what "support" actually means; based purely off of a lightning fast user experience running the macOS I wouldn't have any indication that my GPU wasn't helping things out.
