hi I have same motherboard and i7 3770 , I try your efi but in boot section menu keyboard doesn't work , just go install directly after installation done I cannot choose hdd because in boot menu usb keyboard don't work
Are you using a USB or wired keyboard? try the wired keyboard from other USB ports. The serial port must also be off from the Bios settings.

Hi every one.
I have Asus p8z68-v-lx motherboard and Intel i7 Sandy Bridge CPU (2700K).
I install Big Sur and its work very clearly. I tried many hackintosh installation but this is best..
I used OpenCore boot loader. I attached EFI folder.
Good luck.
Thank you so much for this EFI!!

It works like a charm and my good old ASUS p8z68-v-lx now features Big Sur!

thank you,
Paul

Hi. Im trying to install Big Sur on a Asus P8Z68V-PRO with a i7-2600K, with Opencore 0.66 and your EFI folder, but it gives AppleAHCIDiskDriver Panic and other times it just reboots.

Can you help?

Hey guys
Can anyone help? I've tried several configurations without success, I don't have a keyboard on Opencore boot either.
Right now I'm using Catalina on Clover, everything works, my system is Sandy Bridge CPU 2700K, Asus P8Z68 v-pro motherboard.

Thanks
Work for me nº1

used PlistEdit Pro
  • Incompatible keyboard driver:
    • Nº1 - Disable PollAppleHotKeys and enable KeySupport, then remove OpenUsbKbDxe from your config.plist -> UEFI -> Drivers
    • Nº2 - If the above doesn't work, reverse: disable KeySupport, then add OpenUsbKbDxe to your config.plist -> UEFI -> Drivers

I’m confirm success installing BigSur with your EFI folder, but need some quirk modification according dortania troubleshooting guide for sandy bridge, because my PC is Acer M3970 desktop upgraded with RX Vega 56 and apple wifi. But anyway, thank you so much for your sharing.
It's happy to hear that Aspire M3970 can be hackintosh. Can you share your EFI for me to try in my system. Its graphics card is Radeon HD 7750.

I wanted to say thank you for posting your EFI and for the information in this post. It worked beautifully for me. I only had to change the NIC kexts.

I have a weird issue I was hoping someone might be familiar with. When I boot to macOS, I get the black screen of death on all display ports. This was the biggest hiccup when I first started trying to get the Mac Installer to load from the USB. The last try I got the black screen as usual, but instead I left the PC on and went out. When I came back, the computer was asleep. So I woke it and to my amazement, the macOS Installer was there. I started the install, and after the first reboot, same black screen issue. At this point I was like ok, I'm testing all the display ports (2 mini dp, dvi, hdmi). None worked. So I left the PC and waited till it fell asleep, woke, and behold next installer screen. At this point I know its a display issue and not anything with the USB. I don't have a mini dp on my output devices. I remebered I had a 3rd party apple mini dp to dvi adapter, and tried it on the next restart. THIS IS THE FIRST TIME I HAD ONE DISPLAY WORK ON REBOOT! All the other ports now sent no signial(no blackscreen).

This is where im at now. I have to put the computer to sleep to get all the displays to work. I'm wondering if anyone knows a better solution to get all my display to work without needing to sleep.

Edit: Looks like its related to the port-number and BusId. Hackintool doesn't recongize my empty framebuffer for Sandy Bridge. I'm not sure how to patch the BusIds.
