Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

Neither Clover nor OpenCore could make your SSD disappear. If BIOS can't see it, it's probably a hardware issue. Check the SATA cable or the power cable.

SSD is installed right on to motherboard so no cables... when I cut the power to PSU for a day and opened it today, it magically saw the SSD and opened normally...

What's the problem that causes this ???

Sounds like a hardware issue.

So the SSD that's giving problems is an NVMe SSD? Have you tried using the other M.2 slot?

I tried in my old hack build but had no luck, I will try tonite ...

I mean it works flawlessly for weeks and does this for a day or two...

Which brand do you suggest? No Samsung EVO 970 Pro right?

The Samsung 970 EVO Plus should be fine if you update the firmware.

The Samsung 970 Pro is one of the best.

I also have a Western Digital SN750 Black which is great.

Has anyone noticed audio feedback while using headphones and the main output on the rear of the board?

What do you define as feedback? I hear background noise like buzzing and hissing if I turn up the volume high enough. That's because the the circuitry is unshielded and the audio out is sitting close to my PSU.

For critical audio mastering, I have a USB out, going into a standalone DAC (Sound Devices USBPre2). For just common stuff, like watching YouTube or having background music, I use the rear audio jack and just keep the volume low.

@pastrychef I've just inherited a 2013 i7 Haswell iMac 27" 4K. I am planning to use it basically as a monitor for my Z390M hackintosh. Of course, I could swap out the iMacs installed HDD for an SSD but then I can't run Big Sur only Catalina hence basically thinking of using it as a monitor. I don't currently have Thunderbolt enabled on my hack, could I use a DisplayPort to Thunderbolt cable you think from my RX580 to the iMac?
