[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

I Just ordered this:

Think it will be compatible?
100% it'll use the new hardware device IDs based on NAVI 21 XTXH, which aren't in apple drivers yet. unless they were added in beta 3

EDIT: just clicked that link it is XTXH, it won't work unless apple updates driver for them

Well that's a bummer.
It has dual bios so attempting a bios flash is less risky. It might be feasible to flash it to the XTX version bios.

0x73AF:1002, vs the working 0x73BF:1002.

A few attempts at faking the device ID have not worked yet. Anyone with the XTXH version that wants to test a fake ID? Let me know there are a few tricks not tried yet that may get it working. It really depends on how different the bios and drivers are from the reference models. Big Sur is a tough nut to crack when it comes to injecting fake IDs.

A little off topic (AMD Athlon 3000G APU), but I have been able to spoof the ID from 0x15D81002 to 67DF1002. Still missing a few kexts loading and MSI but its progress. Spoofing 0x73AF to 73BF may work, it seems to be a shorter jump than this.

Any chances for 6700 series supported in the new beta release?

I'm up for anything. I have the Liquid Devil Ultimate, which is one of the earlier XTXH versions.

Use Hackintool to generate a PCIe devices plist.

Hackintool PCIe devices .png

It should look like this in Open Core Configurator. Search out the VGA or GFX0. If its there upload the plist.

Find attached two plist's. One where I booted without the new GPU and one where I booted with it active.

Anyone else had a big drop in GPU performance in 11.4 public beta 2 ? I was getting 178000 in metal on Beta 1 and now only getting 145000 in Beta 2... I have the MSI 6800xt Gaming x Trio
I have 145000 in Beta 1. I guess Geekbench is not very reliable.

This is what I said before. Geekbench tests are so short, that half the test is done with gpu not even fully revved. working power managemnet means WORSE test results.. to get best results you need to start the test with cpu/gpu already revved up, Like you'd probably get a better test just stopping test immediately and starting it backup again really fast just to get test started out of idle state.

Sadly there aren't many good benchmark tools on macOS that aren't victim of same flaw of just not running long enough. Apples power management is particularly conservative to that it amps up slower than windows. That's not a bad thing for normal operation but it is for benchmarks
