[Success] GIGABYTE Z370 Gaming 7 + Intel Core i7-8700K + RX 580 + (2x) Dell P2715Q 4k @ 60Hz

Hi Scott, I have 2 hack system the 390 which is all set up with CaseySJ's thread. That has no issues.

My second build is the Z370 Gaming 7 build. I have uploaded my working 11.2.2 EFI folder. But in 11.3 at the login screen I cant use my mouse or keyboard. I've tried svarts EFI, but I think he has a AMD card. I tried to add my Intel info in open core config but it crashes. I think I am close with the EFI I posted just need a working USB. I also tried with the 11.3 USB broken thread and had no luck.

Thanks in advance.
IF that is the case you should update your profile to the board in question or at least add all your systems to your signature.

I did state my board in my initial post. I added both boards to my info so there is no confusion.

Thanks
Still not right. Put only one system in your profile (beneath the avatar). The both can go in your signature.
Profiles are mandatory so that others can assist you. They are only for listing components and details of your primary system you are seeking assistance for or your latest system. Since they are viewable under your avatar they need to kept as small as possible and limited to one system only.

Yeah, I can't use any USB. Nothing works. I think I have a old EFI folder. This was fine in 11.2.3. I just get the login screen. I can boot to my back up 11.2.3, though.
I just had this issue last night with OpenCore 0.6.9 after upgrading from 11.0.1 to 11.3.1. I was able to fix the issue by disabling XhciportLimit under Kernel in the config.plist.

I'm attempting the Mojave upgrade and something has gone terribly wrong. My PC won't boot - it loops after BIOS in trying to load Clover. I made 2 backup external drives with the previous versions of HS on them, but neither of them will boot either. I tried one of them in an internal slot where I had my Window SSD. In trying to follow Hacks instructions to the letter, I was trying some workaround downloads to find the Clover bootloader, which is no longer directly available. After doing that, I was in the middle of the Mojave install when the boot failure started. If anyone can bail me out of this mess, I will be eternally grateful.

It sounds like perhaps your Clover EFI folder has been corrupted. Do you happen to have a "good" backup copy of your Clover EFI? Do you have another Mac where you could set up a thumb drive with a "good" Clover EFI? Then when booting hold down the F12 key and boot Clover from the thumb drive instead of the potentially corrupted EFI on the boot drive.

Have you tried holding down the F12 key on boot and trying to boot from one of the other SSDs if their is a Clover EFI on them?

When you get this problem resolved you might consider moving from Clover to OpenCore. Personally I moved to OpenCore a year ago with my Z370 AORUS Gaming 7 and have been very happy. OpenCore gets updated monthly and works well.

Good luck.

Thanks, I have tried booting from 2 external drives (one is an SSD, the other a Seagate external), but neither of them are booting for some reason. I though all the changes I was making were going onto the Seagate, not my OS SSD or other other backup SSD). I'm going try with a USB thumbdrive to see if that works. I guess the downside for me will be to resintall Mac OS from scratch, and then reinstall Parallels and all my other apps.

Explain what you mean by "neither of them are booting."

1) When you enter the BIOS setup window (DELETE key on boot), and look at the boot drive order, do any EFI boot drives appear in the list? Can you set up the boot drive order in the list? If no boot drives appear, then most likely none of the drives has an EFI folder to boot from.
2) When you hold down the F12 key on boot, do any bootable drive options appear in the list. If not, then there is nothing to boot from.
3) Do any of the external drives have the hidden EFI partition containing the Clover EFI folders?

Frankly it has been so long since I used Clover that I can't be of much assistance.

Keep those backup drives, as the failure to boot is more likely due to a bad Clover EFI folder than a problem with any of the SSDs. When you resolve the boot problem those drives should still be useable.

Perhaps start fresh setting up a new Clover thumb drive to boot from. If I understand correctly you are attempting to install Mojave? If the drive you are trying to install to is not corrupted, installing Mojave will simply update the OS and not disturb any user data or apps.

Thanks so much for these thoughtful suggestions. It wasn't helping that I rather idiotically didn't notice a tiny Sandisk thumbdrive that was in one of my USB ports. After removing that, I successfully installed Mojave using a thumbdrive with Unibeast and Multibeast. I still haven't figured out why the 2 Super Duper copies I had on hand of the High Sierra drive weren't working for me. But it looks like all is well. I used @HackaShaq EFI folder and everything seems to be running great, and I will follow in his footsteps and move to Catalina...
