Hi everyone, I'm trying to use native audio on High Sierra 10.13.6 (17G65).

I have an ALC887 and following the guides I have
installed Lilu and AppleALC in other (latest versions) patched the DSDT from HDAS to HDEF using the attached patch which moved the layout id to 7.

I also set it to clover configurator, always 7.

Only headphones work. When I try to use the digital output nothing works. How is it possible?

PS: With VodooHDA everything works! The HDAU device that I plugged into the ssdt for GPU is also detected.

no need to patch DSDT with layout ID, you can just use config.plist for your layout

no need to only upload kexts though, best to zip and upload your clover folder

Same problem even trying to remove it:
But then I think: why does the headphone output work and everything else doesn't?

assumed you have tried all the layout id's:
1, 2, 3, 5, 7, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, 33, 40, 50, 52, 53, 87, 99 ?

also check over:

I repeat, with VoodooHDA all peripherals are recognized. So I don't know if I should take any value from ioreg while using VodooHDA. Maybe so I can understand why it does not activate them

read my reply above and see how you get on, or stick with voodoohda

Following the guide I am checking if AppleALC works. But I notice that alc-layout-it is the same as layout id. In the guide this is not the case, but not what it means
