Oh... wait...

It says, "Import from OC or Clover config.plist" o_O

That sounds like you already have to have one. We're still stuck with the chicken vs. the egg dilemma. What about those who have neither chicken nor egg?

In my scenario, mommy and daddy haven't made little config.plist yet; just a glimmer in their eye.

Uppp!!! And here is another one...

"However, boot arguments can be imported from the currently running Hackintosh."

Doesn't the HackinDROM App have to be run on a Hack... the Hack you are... hacking?

In my scenario (for n00bs just getting started with NO Hackintosh yet), they couldn't run HackinDROM App on say... a Macmini6,2; could they?

Maybe some default, generic machine config.plist files could be created for people, so they could use them just to get over that initial hump of being stranded in "No Hackland"?

I don't know. But I've been going round and round in circle for days now with this. I initially was successful because I started out using the guide with Clover, and in that process, an intial config.plist is created. That's how I just got over my current, immediate installation hump - I connected my old original test install SSD with Mojave on it, mounted the EFI, and took the Clover config.plist from that and put it in to HackinDROM web site, gened the new config.plist from there, and then copied THAT one over to my OC 068 EFI installer, and then... BAM... of course THAT worked!

So now once again, "having done it", I know my trying to use the config-AMD-GPU.plist was INCORRECT. But I only tried that because I figured there had to be one SOMEWHERE, and that was the only one I could find in the whole process.

So yeah, chicken and egg problem still it sounds like to me.

@CaseySJ

Possibly related stuff. I used to get disconnections using an apple mouse when dual booting (linux and MacOs). The mouse would pair but would disconnect soon afterwards - I looked through the archwiki for bluetooth and they recommend a method for "Dual boot pairing". You basically set the same pairing key on both OS's to avoid issues. More details - https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/bluetooth#Device_connects,_then_disconnects_after_a_few_moments

Let me know if that works for you
@ mango1122:
Thanks for the hint. I will try and report.

For those of you who is using native Intel Wifi and Bluetooth, or for those of you who might know this:
Is there any way to make Bluetooth peripherals work in OpenCanopy? Or in more general terms, does the on-board Wifi/BT chip support HID Proxy (which is what makes this possible)? I know my Broadcom BCM94360CS2 worked brilliantly there, even in the BIOS. And even if the on-board chip doesn't support HID Proxy, is there some way that OpenCore would be able to initialize the usage of bluetooth peripherals in OpenCanopy, and if so, has anyone done it?

Please post that USB SSDT and I'll take a look. Does it have a maximum of 15 ports defined (Package size = 0x1E)? And XhciPortLimit is disabled in config.plist?
I'm not sure. Package size seems to differ for each port. Please see attached the SSDT.

XhciPortLimit is disabled indeed.

This is only about PlatformInto section, a file where you already have Serial Numbers.
Screen Shot 2021-04-29 at 10.58.59.png

Theres 3 options,
"Generate New" -> will generate new serials for you, this is for new builds
"Import from My System" -> will get serials numbers from your Hackintosh or Real Mac where HackinDROM App is running. This is useful if you want to create a new OC EFI for the Hackintosh you are running currently.
"Import from file" -> Import from already existing OpenCore or Clover config.plist, useful if you switch from Clover to OC, or you are creating an EFI for a friend, or you are on your Real Mac and you want to create an EFI for your existing Hackintosh

in all theses 3 cases a new config.plist is created and configured for the build you have selected

Hello everybody, I have been away from this forum for some months because of work. However, now I'm back, baby!

I ordered the 6800 XT card yesterday, which will work with the new beta that has been released as I understand it? But I am still version 11.1, and I am using Opencore version 2.20 0.6.4

1) What is the latest Opencore version I should use and can someone guide me to that post?
2) Any other information that I need to know before proceeding?

Thanks in advance and keep up the good work! :D
