[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

Good to know. If I remove the display port and plug back in, its back up. So it seems like its not holding onto the signal. Weird.
When I first put the card in my X299 I had an issue where the monitor connected to USB-C was not detected from boot - no signal. I had to unplug and replug the connector, and then it came online normally.

Shortly afterwards I realised I still had DeviceProperties entries in my OC config.plist intended for my Vega 64 GPU, which was both renaming the GPU to "AMD RX Vega 64 16GB" and setting device ID etc :)

As soon as I removed that, the GPU was named correctly and all ports work fine on boot, and after sleep/wake.

So do double check you don't have any SSDTs or DeviceProperties that you put in for your old GPU that might be affecting this one :)

The USB-C port on the 6800xt can be connected to a thunderbolt4 dock... you don't get thunderbolt on the downstream thunderbolt ports on your dock; only USB. But you also get displayport/hdmi output working well.

This can be an option for those with a dock and a motherboard with thunderbolt. If you want to use the discrete GPU video output with you dock and your motherboard doesn't have a displayport input for you tunnel your video card's video over thunderbolt, then just plug your dock into the 6800/6900.

About the same as 5700xt
Are you sure? Here are some Blackmagic RAW benchmarks from 2019, I am pretty sure AMD must be running in OpenCL here though to be that bad.

Oh cool cheers for that. I do wonder if there is a bottleneck with this test? The numbers don't seem to scale correctly for the GPU as they do for the CPU, maybe I am missing something.

I hope the improvement in your score is due to Metal over OpenCL, that could account for the 6000 cards performing poorly under Resolve too. We need test with Pugetbench and see if it improves on this.

Edit - Pugetbench Resolve is Windows only for now - damn it.

Not yet, but Navi22, and Navi23 are still in the Framebuffer.kext. Just not in the 6000.kext.

Yeah, I just tried this. RX 6700 XT (Navi 22) and RX 6600 XT (Navi 23) do not work.
