Hi there.

First thing is to update your Clover bootloader to a newer version. That should help the boot process move along. If not then consider OpenCore as an alternative.

If sticking with Clover, clear out the duplicate and unnecessary stuff:

1) You have USBPorts.kext, USBInjectAll.kext and USBMap.kext - you only need one. And you have a USB SSDT-UIAC.aml. That only works with USBInjectAll. One method only will work.

2) You have 2x UEFI drivers folders. You only need the drivers/UEFI one.

3) You don't need the EHCI renames in your config.plist as you don't have any EHCI controllers.

Hope that helps.

:)

Thanks for your suggestions. I updated Clover Boot Loader to the recent version. Now, unfortunately, I can't even boot into the Mojave installation, not even from the back up clone. What did I wrong? Thanks for your help.

What did I wrong?

Maybe nothing.

Your hardware, as per profile, should be fine.

Perhaps use your UniBeast installer USB stick to boot back in to Mojave ?

If you no longer have it, create another. You can use it as as rescue disk. It uses an older version of Clover.

The screengrab shows the crash after the problem, not what the problem was.

Thank you for your reply. I generated a new UniBeast installer USB with Mojave on it. Now I managed, while pressing F12, to start from the backup clone and replaced the EFI with the one working before. So what would be the correct way to update clover Bootloader to a newer version without breaking it? Thanks for your reply

Great.

Now you should be able to boot using that and when you get to the Clover menu select your previous Mojave installation. Obviously do not go to the installer, instead select the Mojave drive.

Once at the desktop you can check your Mojave EFI folder and repair it. Or you can copy the UniBeast EFI folder over it. See how you get on.

As for Catalina, your hardware should be no problem. Check our Catalina support and guide threads. Usually the error you originally posted is caused by an out-of-date bootloader. The latest Clover versions are actually hybrids of Clover and OpenCore, so consider upgrading to a newer version of Clover, but one before the new hybrid version. IIRC that is r5123.

:)

I'm now on clover Bootloader 5070, but still experiencing the same issue while trying to upgrade to Catalina, just the apple logo and no progression bar. Attached is the new EFI, I deleted the suggested unnecessary stuff. Thanks for helping!

Okay, I'm away from my PC just now, so will check later, but why not try Clover 5123?

Next I would suggest perhaps trying to create an OpenCore USB boot stick. This may be more than you want to do, and I can understand that, but I think Apple made some significant changes to Catalina after 10.15.5.

Yep I‘m out, back at a working mojave system. Tried to find a full installer of a previous catalina version pre .5 - seems impossible, also the fetch command failed. But thank you for your help!
