You will also be able to update your Apple Car Pro with wheels enabling you to drive it on roads (rather than fly) for the low price of $49,000.00
Apple will be saving the environment by not including the wheels on the car. If it had wheels and you're stuck in a traffic jam, you'd only be making things worse by having Apple Cars with wheels adding to road traffic congestion. All those idling gas guzzlers waste even more fuel and pollute the air in this scenario. Also, where do all those worn out tires end up ? You guessed it.

What the base model at $99,999 will have is springs to cushion the landing on the ground. That's right there as an easter egg in the event announcement. You'll also see the colors you can choose for the exterior.

Seriously, the Apple Car is at least two years off from even public announcement, so we won't see it next Tuesday.

I've heard that it really won't have a steering wheel or the option to add one, at any price. In comparison with the launch of the 2007 iPhone (which had no physical buttons) there will be an iPad like touchscreen instead. You'll use it for entertainment or you'll be able make voice or video calls to friends, play games etc. If there are any problems with your car there will be a 911 like icon that connects you directly with Apple support. It will be all about making your ride as safe and enjoyable as possible. "Delighting the customer" as Apple says in their mission statement.

It will be fully autonomous and primarily be used as a robo-taxi. Apple will let Tesla be the first co. with driverless taxis on the road, they'll help Apple out by creating the acceptance of autonomous, driverless vehicles. By the time Apple enters the market they won't have to do much at all to gain public acceptance of this 21st century form of transportation.

You won't buy an Apple Car, just rent it for short term use. You will end up spending a lot less on the cost of your personal transportation. No oil changes, pumping gas or car insurance to pay. Best of all, no shockingly expensive car repair bills. You won't even have to charge a car in your garage. Just summon the nearest Apple Car with your phone, pay with Apple pay or Paypal etc. It takes you where you want and you step out of the car. Just like Uber or Lyft except without a human driver. Human drivers are the biggest expense for the current ride haling companies. Apple will beat them at their own game and make mega profits by entering this space. Much in the same way they put many cell phone makers, like Blackberry and Nokia out of business with the iPhone.

They will be able to make a lot more money by building the cars and retaining ownership rather than selling a limited number of super expensive Apple Cars to the super rich. They've also learned this from Tesla. Tesla may actually stop selling their cars to individual consumers and simply keep them in their autonomous taxi fleet. They'll be on the roads 24/7, constantly making money whenever they're not being cleaned and recharged. This is why Tesla is making solid, long lasting battery electric cars that they hope will keep going for at least one million miles before the expensive battery pack can no longer hold a charge.

That is the most profitable business to be in. Apple will do the same thing and probably become the first 2 Trillion dollar co. in the world sometime this decade.

I've heard rumors there will be an opening video with Tim Cook flying the Apple Car into the center of the spaceship campus and landing there in Cupertino. The gull wing door will open automatically. Cook steps out of the car. Then he'll say "Good Mornang !" "This is my new commute to work." "How do you like it ?" "These will go on sale next Monday for the low price of just $99,999 at Apple.com." "Use your Apple card and get 2% cash back." Now anyone will be able to own the Apple Car. Just sell your home and live out of the car. Use public rest rooms when needed.

The Apple Car won't have a steering wheel as it's fully autonomous. For the "old timers" that still want to drive their Apple car, a steering wheel is $9,999 extra. Kind of like the stand for the XDR Pro Display.

Who knows ? Anything is possible. Sometimes rumors do come true. I highly doubt TC will show us all his untidy desk.
Only 99,999 that actually sounds rather cheap since that is already an existing market for cars at that price.

IMO an Untidy desk shows that you are working a tidy desk shows you have extra time on your hands.

It was just a random guess and a joke at the same time. In reference to how Apple prices nearly all of their products. They mostly end with 99 dollars in the list price. So why not start with 99,900 +99 ?

Even the modestly over priced XDR Pro display stand sells for $999.

The 99 tactic is actually the other way around they take something that was 1000 and they make it 999 because it is more attractive to the eye. Apple is not the only one who does this Walmart also likes to do it. Fast food restaurants are notorious for .99.
