peaks at about 22-25mb
I think this part was my over-reaction at first. I was without any connectivity on my computer for over a week, and once I connected, there was a lot of heavy syncing (dropbox, icloud, adobe-cloud, and possibly some photos used a lot of bandwidth during the first several hours) which interfered with my numbers, but the following day
I'm averaging around 120-140mbps and this is sufficient for me.

I'll do another update soon once I receive a native apple's wifi card, and a PCI enclosure.

Wow, I did not expect this to be such a major difference:

With my Fenvi T919 I couldn't get anything higher than 140.

Well, This is what I installed today:
BCM943602CDP with Shaluoman BCM94360CD to PCI-e 1x Adapter.

Anyway, I have nothing else to add to this thread, thank to all who helped me resolve this issue!

Thanks for the report. What SMBIOS are you using ? iMac 17,1 ?

Looks like more people should be using this card instead of the BCM94360CD version that costs about the same.

An over 2.5x improvement on the upload speeds is amazing. It may matter that it's a genuine Apple card pulled from an iMac too.

Yes, well, I was trying to match my CPU category, which is a Skylake, so the closest I got was iMac17,1. For some reason on my system report, the Processor Name is identified as:

And I don't exactly remember when that happened, at which point of me changing my EFI, I know when I just set it up first time, it actually spelled out i9-9960x or something like that.

In any case, in retrospect I'd totally go for a native Apple's card, fewer potential problems and higher chance of future OSs' compatibility, at least a few more generations :)

Sry, don’t know if this has already been mentioned here, but for Skylake-X systems we should definitely be using iMac Pro 1,1
