[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

@CaseySJ, please find it attached. Thanks
It seems that iGPU is disabled in BIOS. Please do the following:
  • BIOS Setup --> Internal Graphics --> Enabled (not Auto)
  • Save settings
  • Log back into macOS and check Hackintool --> Platform ID.
  • Then check QuickLook / Preview.

@CaseySJ, I disabled it because I am on an RX 580. Should I enable it anyways?

Yes. We use platform ID 0x3E980003 to set iGPU into headless mode, so it won't output a video signal, but it will be used for compute tasks such as QuickLook and Preview.

@CaseySJ Genius :clap::clap::clap: - I owe you a coffee :) maybe more than one!

Now the last thing I need to find is a save hotplug procedure for my Thunderbolt.
I got lost with the last updates, and the last one I remember is the one with a motherboard hack which I didn't feel safe doing. I am sure you know it. Cheers

I'm back! With RC2!

New message to notify you that something isn't correct with your Bluetooth module and you better reset it
@Marcet Thanks for the feedback, I hope this one is the good one, please check it again
@CaseySJ thanks for the .plist, helped me a lot!

Additional notes:

This will never happen will HackinDROM:

  • No file inside the folder but the partition is full.
    • HackinDROM will verify, if needed repair, clean cache than mount it with custom name.
    • You'll always* see your mounted partition in Finder's "Locations" section
    • * = if other apps are not trying to make changes to disks while HackinDROM is working too

Fixed the crash on launch

Glad to hear it!

Thunderbolt hot plug is already configured properly according to the IOReg file you posted. Some devices might not operate as nicely as others. But hot plug is already enabled!

@Inqnuam,

The latest version crashes on launch when I use it on my B550 Vision D. I haven't tried it on the other Hackintoshes yet.

Please have a look at console log and diskutil output, both attached.
