Z490 & Z590 - Will Z590 ever have macOS Support ?

Rocket Lake is out for sale in Germany: i7-11700K.
We should know soon enough on compatibility. I would like to upgrade my 9th gen to 11th gen.

Considering one last build but I have a suspicion the 11th gen that uses the hybrid core will have some issue with hacking.

It would be an upgrade to my 7th gen systems since I stopped there.

There is some good news on the horizon.

Today I read on the news, but the question is which one is Apple going to use, Comet or Rocket:

Anyone own a Z590 + 10th gen and can confirm OpenCore is working?

What I'm interested in is that many Z590 MB have Thunderbolt 4 ports, will those work on macOS?

I just picked up an ASUS Z590 ROG MAXIMUS XIII HERO that has two Thunderbolt 4 ports.
No hot plug or hot swap, but my UAD Apollos connect when turned on before the macOS boot screen.

That’s excellent! That’s the board I was considering. Anything not working with that board?

Just wondering, can you use Thunderbolt 4 port as video output from iGPU?

You will need an SSDT to make them hot plug, using one of the current ones likely will not help it will need to be setup for your board. Maybe @CaseySJ could help with that since he is the resident Thunderbolt SSDT master.

If that's a Maple Ridge controller, it's great to see that macOS works with it!!
