I just updated to the lastest version of MaciASL and see a lot of patches.
I have a GA-X-UD5, is there a patch for this board?
I am hoping for a fix of the usb 3 issues.
I have High Seirra up and running.

I will give this a look over.
just saying, sometime in the past I did the inject all and was able to do what the inject all docs said to do
then something happened and then something else
now I have upgraded to high Sierra and can't get anything to work as it did
I can see the ports in the tool app I can see them in the ioreg
when a usb2 is inserted I can see that but not a usb 3
any way I will check this out and let you know.

and thanks for the reply!!

Hi there.

No, the X79 chipset has no USB3 ports of its own. It has to use a 3rd-party chipset such as the Fresco Logic FL1009 in your case.

OS X had native drivers for this, but when you update OS X or macOS old drivers get left behind. The current supported chipset is the FL1100 for example.

People often get around the lack of working USB3 ports by adding a PCI USB3 add-on card with the FL1100 chipset onboard.

:)

I have read that a patch can be applied to FL1100 to add/change back to FL1009?
So, I tried and saw no difference, does/should this really work?
