[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Thank you for the response @CaseySJ, I think I've already fixed the issue after I deleted some items in DeviceProperties. In order for Sidecar to work. Anyways, is it safe to have 2 Ethernet entry ?

And yes @Beaty2000 I don't have 00000 entry in my iMessage key entry. Thanks.

It is normal to have Ethernet and Ethernet 2 because there are two physical Ethernet ports on the motherboard.

@casey, I spoke to the devs they are running there sound card thru the Apple Thunderbolt-to-Ethernet adapter in Big Sur. So there has to be some other reason this is not working. They are not running hackintosh so if anyone can chime in please let us know
Interesting! This prompted me to test the Apple Thunderbolt-to-Ethernet Adapter on my 2020 MacBook Pro with Big Sur 11.2, and it actually works. But it fails under Big Sur on every Hackintosh in my collection.

Screenshots from MacBook Pro with Big Sur 11.2: Works on real Mac.

Screenshots from Z390 Designare with Flashed Thunderbolt Bus and SIP Enabled (same result with SIP disabled): Fails on Hackintosh with and without flashed firmware.

Speculation about a fix:
  • It might be possible to patch the offending driver (might does not mean it will).
  • I have not searched (yet) for existing solutions.

Just tried Apple TB3>TB2 Adapter with TB>Ethernet on the Designare and the Hackintosh even doesn't recognize there's a new Ethernet card attached.

Wow incredible news. This situation would hold me back from using Big Sur until a possible fix because everything centers around recording for me you know! :D
Please, if you can investigate, you would probably be helping a lot of musicians out with this technical issue.

@СaseySJ
I followed your advice and bought what you said. but the problem persists, the computer does not sleep
