[SUCCESS] Gigabyte Designare Z390 (Thunderbolt 3) + i7-9700K + AMD RX 580

Running F9g. Confirmed CFG-Lock is Disabled
At the OpenCore Picker press and release CMD-V to enable Verbose. Then select the macOS SSD. When the boot process hangs please take a photo and post it as follows:
  • Remove EXIF location information (there are several apps in App Store that do this)

  • Then resize the photo to about 1280 pixels in either X or Y. We really want to avoid gigapixel photos of a computer screen!

Hello,

Do not hesitate to tell me if this shouldn't be posted here. As perhaps due to the beta nature of the kext this isn't the proper place to discuss it.

I'm trying to get airportitlwm to work on by build, which is now with OC 0.6.5 and the very same as the one in the beginning of the thread. I can't afford a WiFi card now, and am getting tired of tethering through my phone of my old macbook which has become a glorified wifi card. I edited config.plist with Sublime text. But I keep getting errors on boot. I'm wondering where I am doing wrong.

As well at @CaseySJ's reply above, if you dual boot you will need to unplug, or turn off your power supply, for 10 seconds or so when you switch OS, i.e. if you boot to Windows and then later to macOS, you need to pull the power. Windows and macOS each upload their own firmware to the card and pulling the power is the only way to clear out the other version.

So just updated to 11.2 last night and the mouse is incredibly laggy. Is anyone else experiencing this?

Interesting. I've not done a binary comparison of the two firmware files, but perhaps I should...
Another possible factor is the rev2 card vs rev1. While not 100% positive, I don't believe I tried the designare version on my rev2 card. I believe I was doing all the experimenting with my rev1 card. I'm very curious whether there is a significant difference in the firmware itself.

Not enough information. Remember always:
  • We cannot read your mind.
  • We don't see what you see because we are not there with you.
  • We don't know what type of equipment you're using.
  • We don't know how much time elapsed since 11.2 was installed.
  • We don't know whether this was a problem in the past.
  • We don't know whether you have a wired or wireless mouse.
Like I said, not enough information.

lol okay so that's a no. Good!

Okay updated to 11.2.
Was on bios F9j just downgraded to F9b and reunlocked CFG through grub.
Also upgraded to OC 6.6, using guide and the attached files
Running a Radeon VII
magic mouse 2

Everything was working fine 11.1 using the bluetooth from guide as well
The lag seems to be a system wide, even a wired mouse has the lag. mouse and windows move but catches/freezes for an instant the comes back, this is pretty constant.

Some comments and questions:
  • Perhaps Spotlight indexing is taking place. Check "Activity Monitor" to see which processes are taking up CPU time.
  • Sounds like you tried at least two mice: one wired and one wireless?
  • The specific lag you describe where a window stutters while moving may be due to something completely different. Good to check "Activity Monitor" to see what processes, if any, are consuming a lot of CPU time.

It seems like its a graphics issue. I googled it and it seems to be affecting actual mac users. The posted remedy was to reset the SMC. Going to try going back to OC 6.5 next.

OC 6.5 didn't solve. . . yes three different mice wire, Magic Mouse 1, and Magic Mouse 2. It really seems to be more of a graphics bug that a HID thing.

System has been sitting overnight so I would think indexing has had enough time to complete?
