[Success] AMD RX6000 Series working in macOS

RX 6800 / 6900 XT Still not working on BigSur with the new update 11.2 ?

No hardware acceleration yet. Installed 11.2 release today, no changes from beta or Rc..
Very bad news, really apple complicates everything that is GPU acceleration, first ending with NVIDIA now that we have a top AMD, also does not work, I am waiting to update the RX 580 for RX 6900 XT, we hope it will be possible soon.:banghead:

Since they focus on main OS and other silicon new things, the part of HW acceleration for AMD 6000 will be left for later (and this is why I expect drivers to be finished after 1st April). I know there are steps which have priority in one developer roadmap, and which milestone marks something "major" in apps, but for now I think the 6000 series hw driver has a minor task importance for Apple. Will see if my prediction is good later.

New AMD drivers dropped yesterday as well, so it seems possibly that testing 6000 series in 11.3 beta might be soon. Fingers crossed.

It may be notable than AMDRadeonX6000 is still not added in AMDSupport as companion bundle. I don't have time now to compare differences beetwen old and new kexts, but I hope we will see something more in future betas.

11.3 Beta sounds like "the time" for BIG NAVI

Well driver support for 6000 series was never a guarantee. It's not like they sell Macs with 6000 series cards. That being said, it is strange indeed , if as you say the limited support that was there is now gone. I mean they did have support for the Radeon VII when they implemented support for 5000 series. And as far as I can tell, Apple didn't sell macs with that particular card inside.
