Has anyone upgraded to Big sur?

I did my laptop is an hp envy k111dx, but at the moment have problems with:

Audio,Trackpad,Battery indicator, Brightness control.

I use opencore.

I’m on BigSur (Opencore) as well, nearly everything is working apart from touch screen, Apple TV videos but that’s Common from what I’ve read. I did have sd card reader working in Catalina but it freezes in BigSur.

Even got boot chime working and windows dual boot, same ssd.

Ill have a look later for you if no one else has replied by then, I’m no Rehabman, but used his guides and adapted for OC for my system. What laptop have you got? Sound issue will more than likely be an IRQ conflict and you’ll need to use SSDTTime in windows to make a SSDT-HPET.aml.

Ive had a look though, you seem to have a lot of drivers installed that you probably don't need? Which guide did you follow to set OC up? I used Dortanias guide, and followed word for word, including post install.

Sound took me for ever to figure out but realised it was an IRQ conflict and making my own SSDT-HPET solved it, but in doing so the SD card reader stopped working!

Ive had a fiddle with your config.plist, (I'm no expert on this use at you own risk!) boot it from a USB stick if you like to see if I makes any difference, sound still won't work as you'll need to create your own SSDT-HPET and amend the config.plist accordingly to the files it generates.

Im assuming its the K series you have? have you ran your config.plist through sanity checker?

This probably won't work, but worth a try. My J series is running really well on BigSur, few more little things to try and get working such as touch screen but overall really happy.

I use the touch pad and keyboard solved by voodoo ps2controller to drive WiFi under bigsur. You also need to delete the airportbrcm4360 under airportbrcmfixup_ Injector.kext . I will upload the OpenCORE of my j184na model in a moment, and the audio problem has been solved
