Hello, my battery will charge up towards only 83% while in use. I looked at the Rehab battery patches for my OC DSDT but I do get a couple of object does not exist errors. I'm not sure where on the DSDT to find the fields necessary to change to 8-bit?

check your battery preferences. see if 'Optimized Battery Charging is active. also check your charge behavior in bios

Hi, I am very interested in building my first Hackintosh, I have found battery problems are very common for hackintosh. In your case, please clarify if your battery "charge up towards only 83% while in use", but does it charge fully ever, I mean while not in use? Thanks a lot!

I am afraid there is no such option as Optimized Battery Charging in macOS, it's rather an option in iOS https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT210512. Or pls let me know where do I find this option in my macOS battery settings.

your power management is not correctly setup. you should have this in your battery preferences
