[Guide] Dell Inspiron 15 7559 (skylake)

Figured I would add my latest EFI. This is running Opencore 0.6.6 on Big Sur 11.1, 4K Display at 60Hz. This EFI is running the Modern UI Opencore icon pack. Currently I use the MacBookPro 13,3 SMBIOS. I don't use HDMI output so I cannot say if it works or not. Besides that everything else is working.
The HDMI work well MacBookPro 13,3 only when you turn on your computer with HDMI connected (without laptop screen). With MacBookPro 13,2 also HDMI works with both screens but you lose the bluetooth(my wifi+bluetooth module is BCM94352Z)

You loose Bluetooth due to the USB ports being different on the MacBookPro 13,2 model. You need to remap your USB ports when using a different SMBIOS. Especially on laptops. They seem to be more specific. The USBPorts.kext in my EFI is specific to the MacBookPro 13,3 SMBIOS

Hello everyone. I installed Big Surr right now. Thank you @slipanot , i used your efi. But i cant login my icloud and facetime. How can we solve?

Try and redownload my EFI I posted. I've removed my SMBIOS in this one. Use the attached link to run GenSMBIOS and create your own serial, MLB, etc.

What kind of hard drive are you using?

Does anyone have option for HDMI Audio outputting to external monitor? When connected to Philips monitor it doesn't allow me to output the audio to the monitor instead of the internal speakers...the HDMI works for displaying but no audio. It was working before updating to 11.1 but since then is missing and I have tried patching config.plst with no success.

Big Sur is still slower than previous versions.
Сurrently we have three problems with Big Sur on our laptop:
1. Reduced performance than Catalina
2. Greater heating than on Catalina and, accordingly, more noise
3. Sticking GPU frequencies after sleeping at 350MHz sometimes

I read some interesting info about performance problems on Big Sur on MacBook 16"
The owner writes that he also had performance problems on the Big Sur and think about to return to Catalina. But he accidentally discovered that problems arose when he was charging the laptop not through a original cable and in System information - Power - AC Charger Information Wattage was equal to 60W
After he connected the charging via original cable, all the lags disappeared and the AC Charger Information Wattage was equal to 91W

I decided to check with myself and see that in Big Sur the adapter outputs 60W, although the adapter itself is original 130W

By the way, after I switched from MacBookPro 13.3 to 13.2 in SMBIOS, the system felt faster and the strange friezes and lags disappeared. Perhaps due to the fact that in the MacBookPro 13.2 the native adapter is just 61W

But in any case, there is increased heating and noise. I found some tests on real MacBooks and there, too, BigSur is 5-7 Celsius degrees higher than in Catalina with the same load.

While we are on the subject of battery, although i do not have 7559,
I do have an alienware with the exact same specs as the 7559, with i7-6700hq, and HD530 + gtx 970m (4k panel)

The issue im having is, when i shut down the computer, I am not able to boot back up unless i connect to the external adapter. So without AC power the laptop doesn't turn on.
Also, when i connect the adapter after shut down, the computer starts back up directly without pressing the power button.
Does somebody know of a solution? Has someone encountered such an issue before?
Kindly let me know.

Thanks & Regards,
Chicken

The same at 7559, it was at Clover and is still happening at OpenCore
