The everything works Asus Z390-I Gaming * i7-8700K * SAPPHIRE NITRO+ Radeon RX Vega 64 Build

Continuing with my build, I can put my system to sleep. However when I wake up the system, the fans speed up for few seconds. Anyone has experience this behavior?
Which fans, is it the GPU?

I'm not sure there is a fix for that, its typical to have the fans spin way up on boot and then after a couple seconds spin down. I'm sure I've had GPUs do it coming out of sleep but its been awhile and I don't recall what OS I was using at the time. Do you have Windows or Linux installed? If so does the behavior happen in that environment after sleep?

Can one use the

Gigabyte Z390 I AORUS PRO WIFI motherboard

as a replacement for the ASRock board that is in this thread?

Hello,

@ModMike
thank you for this very good guide. I have 2 questions:

- How you solve the RTC Issue on your Asus board?
- Do the GPU boost work for Radeon VII?

Thanks in advance

Depending on what you are asking about if you are using OpenCore then RTC is handled in an SSDY.AWAC.aml loaded into the ACPI folder. You can reference the Dortania Install guide for coffee lake processors for more info, see screen shoot attached.

As far as the GPU boost you can try it on a USB boot disk to see if it works for you, it turned out it mostly only raised Synthetic Benchmarks results and made for little real time benefits I believe.
