reboot machine, clear nvram

at desktop, reboot

at desktop shut down

restart

at desktop, wait a few minutes and press apple -> sleep

let sleep for a few minutes and press a key to wake up machine

make sure to disable trusted computing in bios
trusted computing is disabled
did you have to change anything in conf.plist when update to 064?
i had a warning at boot something about sound. I google that and fix it. I dont remember axactly what it was right now.

yes, as with every update for opencore you need to check the sample.plist and make the relevant changes
 
Did anyone ever get the keyboard backlights working on OC / Big Sur? That's the only thing missing in my setup. Backlights work in Windows but not in Big Sur. I tried Karabiner to see if its just a mapping issue, but all that does is show the symbols on the screen but it doesnt actually turn the lights on. Would be Fn F3/4 vor my laptop.

Edit: This is not a matter of mapping the FN keys I suppose. The keyboard gets recognized to have backlight ability but it just would turn on, even if I use the slider as in screenshot.

I have a question. How to flash, if I want my laptop back to original stock bios?
Should I flash with afudos or with flash utility in bios?

flash utility in bios should do it, download latest bios from asus website, pop it onto a usb stick and you should be able to find it in the bios when you flash

I am on old version of OC 064. Can some one direct me to easy to follow step by step guide how to update?

download new version, replace files, check config.plist with ocvalidate and make the necessary changes/amendments
