Will these specs work for at least a High Sierra build?

A follow up: if I try and set my eyes on mimicking the hardware components of some Mac, say 2012-2014, will that help by a lot to have it up and running more easily?

If you can find an HP 8300 with an HD4000 intel graphics CPU like this:

It's a sure thing you can get it working with High Sierra all the way up to Big Sur. Just need to install a 2.5" sata SSD. Do they sell these in your country ?

The very best deal on Ebay.com right now is this i7-3770 version. Good deal at $129. Just add an SSD to boot from.

Great!
I’ve found a few 8200 on Swedish FB Marketplace. Any good?
Need HD3000 CPU or a compatible graphics card. They work well with High Sierra.
i3 i5 or i7 CPU is required, no Pentiums.

Spend a little more money and get a Core Two Duo E8400 CPU. Ebay has thousands of them for sale at dirt cheap prices. $4.03 right now.

I don't know if the GT 120 works with HS as I've never owned one. You can also upgrade that if it doesn't work. The GT 710 DDR3 version works well with HS.
Hi again! I’ve found a E6850 and it seems quite similar to the E8400. Will it work?

IDK, I've never used one. Why not buy the E8400 ? You can be certain it will work.
They should be available most anywhere in the world.

NOTE: The E8400 will not work with the HP 8200, only your older Socket 775 board.

Because I’ve found it very cheap and it’s not as easy to get a hold of these in Sweden on the used market

Yes! I’m starting to get a grip on the different specifica of the cpu, mobo specs etc now. Thanks

What is the cost in equivalent dollars ? I know that the E6850 is one year older than the E8400. I don't think Apple ever used an E6850 in any Mac. You could research it on www.Everymac.com.
