Gigabyte Z390 M Gaming build with working NVRAM

What SSDT is that? I have never posted any EFI with SSDTs to rename GPUs.

If you want to edit the name of your GPU, please see post #3. At the bottom of that post, look for "How to populate System Information > PCI".

This is the SSDT from CaseySJ. I attached it here.
I will follow your instructions as per post#3. Thank you very much.

Usually, I try to avoid DSDT and SSDTs as much as possible. In some instances, such as fixing NVRAM, use of an SSDT is unavoidable. But for something like renaming a video card, I find it much cleaner to just do it in config.plist > DeviceProperties.

My Radeon VII is also double wide. I have my Wi-Fi/Bluetooth card in the x1 slot and it's fine.

Seeing as how moving the Fenvi would require removing and reinstalling the filler plate and possibly the 4 antennas, I’m going to be lazy unless there is a problem. Is there anything that expects the Fenvi to be in the x1? Any odd definitions that would need adjusting?

Re-do your config.plist > DeviceProperties.

Hi Pastrychef,

I have requirement to downgrade the Os to Mojave due to incompatible 32bit driver in Catalina, what changes should I make in the configuration for this to make it work, please let me know. Thanks

Daniel

No changes needed to the EFI.

Try using 5GHz only. Bluetooth is known to interfere with 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

Hi pastrychef, I hope you enjoyed a wonderful and peaceful Christmas.

I have now tested the wifi connection for several days and sometimes the connection breaks because of the signal strength (my router is far away from the PC).

I have although an other issue (very weird):
on the first thunderbolt port [GC-Titan Ridge 2.0] I have plugged a USB 3.0 stick and each time I wake the pc from "sleep" I got the message : "Disk Not Ejected Properly". All other USB hard disk or sticks are working perfectly. The USB Mapping is now 100% compliant with my configuration (15 ports limit applied).

I have double checked every possible parameters in BIOS a/o in config.plist. Couldn't find anything wrong. Do You have any clue where-else should I check ?

Thanks! I guess Christmas was as good as it could be... Hope yours was good too.

I have no idea how to fix the USB drives from ejecting when connected to Thunderbolt ports.

Assuming you are using USB 3 drives, they are running from the Thunderbolt controller and has nothing to do with the USB port configuration.

USB 2 is passed through from the motherboard chipset. These are counted in the 15 port limit.

I would just use USB ports for USB drives instead.

I had a beautiful Christmas with my wife and daughter. Thanks

You're right, I used a UBS 3 with a UBS C connector to test out the card (I have not flashed the firmware). I will probably buy a thunderbolt 3 disk enclosure with a SSD NVME...kinda curious to see if it works.

I haven't though set up the UBS 2 passthrough for the th3 card via motherboard (I'm not yet planning to use a th3 dock).

Have a nice day.

Personally, I don't think it makes any sense to enable USB 2 on the Thunderbolt ports. Using USB 2 devices on the Thunderbolt ports are an absolute waste of the Thunderbolt ports.
