Force RGB Mode Pink Tint Magenta hue Big Sur?

I have all the files i need but how do I write to the override folder to get this problem corrected? How do I disable Big Sur SIP?

I disabled SIP and I still cant write the files to the "override" folder. Anyone have any tips?

Try re-enabling SIP.

Then put your overrides in /Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides/.

SIP re-enabled. I get the grayed out ghostbuster logo when I drop files on it. Tried to change permission and that comes up with "don't have permissions". Also tried booting up with Catalina but that says my new drive with Big Sur is incompatible. Will install Big Sur on 2nd drive, boot off that one and see if I can edit first one......

It's telling you that you don't have permission to access the /Library/ folder????

I just tried dragging-n-dropping an empty folder to /Library/Displays/Contents/Resources/Overrides/ and didn't have any problems.

I don't know why you can't access the /Library/ folder.

Just don't mess with the /System/ folder. That's off limits now.

It’s off limits whether I like it or not lol. I have to figure out how to get this pink hue off.... driving me crazy. Gonna try the 2nd install and see.

/Library/ folder should not be off limits. If you can't write to it, macOS will probably give you all sorts of problems.

/System/ folder is different.

• Reboot into recovery mode (⌘-R at boot).
• Mount your main disk (enter Disk Utility, select the gray Macintosh HD, click Mount, provide your password, close Disk Utility).
• Open up a terminal (Utilities -> Terminal), backup the overrides directory, copy in your new override file, and reboot:
  • cd /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/System/Library/Displays/Contents/Resources
  • cp -R Overrides Overrides.bak cp -R /Volumes/Macintosh\ HD/Users/jrr/Desktop/DisplayVendorID-10ac Overrides/
  • reboot
