No issues my end. Getting full-rate on tx/rx. Try removing any of the secondary kexts you used for the previous card?
I removed all kext relating to wifi and BT. my Locale is set to RoW for some reason and my Tx rate is only 434 mbs. think im gonna send this one back and seems defective

Dear all, I am new to Hackintosh and I have tried to build a Catalina on 9630 - everything seems to be working well except for my sound. Somehow I am not able to get my audio up. I followed the youtube and guide from Mark Perez. Not sure what I did wrong - this is my 7th attempt in installation. Using Clover.
I am using the machine for 2 years now as a Hackintosh and was never able to fix a similar problem. Sometimes (I narrowed it down to switching from AC power to battery) the audio just cut out. To re-enable it, I have to navigate to settings => Sound => input. Then the audio comes back immediately. So I think it has something to do with a power saving feature of the sound/microphone array.
I am only using AppleALC, no VoodooHDA. Layout Id 13

Quick question: do you have issues with HDMI over USBC? I can' find a way to output 4k 60fps, but I'm not sure where the limitation is. SwitchResX doesn't list it as available (max I can find is 1080p60Hz). The adapter is the official apple one and the cable is HDMI 2.1, so this should not be an hardware problem. I've noticed that this product page states that the only MacBook Pro capable of 4K60 through USBC is MacBook Pro (13-inch, four Thunderbolt 3 ports, 2020). Is there an SMBIOS limitation on USBC output?

That is a different laptop than the one discussed here, so most of the things here probably won't help you. You didn't even write what problem you're having now. I would suggest you to start reading from here. Read everything, then follow that as a tutorial. If you encounter problems then post with problem reporting files (at least the verbose output)

Probably. Try experimenting with MacbookPro16,3 as it's the closest (and most modern).

At some point there will be a proper override setting for fbmem but for now (until someone dumps that SMBIOS) it will be hit and miss.

Hi,

I am thinking to re-install my machine with Big Sur to switch from Clover to OpenCore (or is it possible to change bootloader nicely without a re-install)?
What's the best guide to set-up Big Sur with Open Core? I have everything working great with Catalina.

Here is a specific guide for the conversion. Main problem if you don't do a fresh install is that while OpenCore puts everything it needs into the EFI, Clover puts stuff here and there and you have to clear everything or something will mess up. That guide should help you with that. I didn't have everything working in clover so I decided for a fresh install. My suggestion would be:

Do a full disk image so that you can restore your (working) situation at any time. Just find an external drive at least as big as your main disk, boot a live Linux distro from USB (ex. Ubuntu), go to Disk and create a disk image.

At this point, you have two option:
a) Backup with time machine and restore everything later, doing a fresh install.

b) At this point, follow the guide in order to clean Clover flies up and convert the config.
Then create a USB with OpenCore in EFI following this other guide to obtain a configured EFI with OpenCore. Test if everything works and then update to Big Sur.

Thanks a lot @Zarkstar , that's looks like quite a project!
